It had taken almost 60 years when the church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Dachau got an organ, in 2015, which was appropriate to the size and sound of the large and unusual church interior. The church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built in 1954-1956 in the new district of Dachau-Sud which sprung up after the Second World War. With it's fully preserved features, it is considered to be an important testament to the architecture of the 1950s. In 2001, the parish decided to have a new organ built after it had become clear that the 1959 Staller Organ was not repairable any more. The new organ, tonally and architecturally designed specifically for the space and, with 41 registers on three manuals and pedal, generously dimensioned, was ceremoniously inaugurated on October 25, 2015. Tonally, the new instrument is designed for balance and the greatest possible authenticity; despite a disposition which, at first glance, appears rather unspectacular, almost Inchuniversal, Inch the Kaps organ can bring the vast majority of the rich organ repertoire to life very convincingly. A living proof that is the album at hand- the first recording at the new organ which contains a very versatile repertoire from Baroque to 20th-century pieces, containing both German and French works.

2017 . Don't bother asking The Mastersons where they're from. Brooklyn, Austin, Los Angeles, Terlingua; they've called each home in just the last few years alone. If you really want to get to know this husband-and-wife duo, the better question to ask is where they're going. For the last seven years, The Mastersons have kept up a supremely inexorable touring schedule, performing as both the openers for Steve Earle and as members of his band, The Dukes, in addition to playing their own relentless slate of headline shows and festivals. Written in a slew of different cities around the world, the band's new album, Transient Lullaby, out May 19, 2017 on Red House REcords, is a late-night collection of subtle, evocative performances that showcase the itinerant couple at their absolute finest. Musically, the album is rich with intoxicating harmonies that float above Eleanor Whitmore's stirring string arrangements and Chris Masterson's adroit guitar work, but it's the deeply personal songwriting that always manages to steal the show.

Legendary Congolese collective Kasai Allstars marks a new milestone in their rich history, as the band have incorporated their own approach to electronic music into their new compositions. Their 4th full-length album, Inchblack ants always fly together, one bangle makes no soundInch was produced by guitarist Mopero Mupemba, who also wrote about half of the songs. He also handles the often intricate programming, which is perfectly adapted to Kasai Allstars' peculiar rhythmic patterns drawn from traditional trance and ritual music. The album features Kasai Allstars mainstays such as vocalist Muambuyi, vocalist and electric likembe player Kabongo, powerful singer Mi Amor, and instrumentalists Tandjolo and Bayila. Born from the reunion of five bands, all from the Kasai region, but originating from five different ethnic groups whose diverse musical traditions were thought to be incompatible until the musicians decided to pool resources and work together. They're admired by artists such as Saul Williams, Questlove and Björk, have engaged in live collaborations with Deerhoof, Juana Molina and Konono N°1, and have had their tracks remixed by the likes of Animal Collective, Deerhoof, Aksak Maboul, Jolie Holland, Shackleton and more.
