Katarzyna Kowalik - Inventions - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Guitar master Sebastião Tapajós and acclaimed pianist Gilson Peranzzetta meet as equals on this elegant duo album of mostly original compositions, performed with warmth and effortless rapport. Fourteen tracks including Pra Tânia, Parece Que Foi Ontem, Choro Santareno and Brinde aos Boêmios, with guests Sivuca, Rildo Hora and Altamiro Carrilho.

Avenged Sevenfold blazes a bold new path with it's debut major tag album, CITY OF EVIL. Fusing punk with melody, metal intensity with an adventurous spirit, the drama and darkness of AX7 moves effortlessly from his powerful vocal punch to thick cascading melodies, from loud and fast to epic. The first single is InchBat Country.Inch

Plying the choppy sonic waves between the best aspects of the insurgent country ghetto and the vaunted Chicago noise guitar scene is the gritty sophomore outing by Chicago's Dollar Store. Fronted by Waco Brother Dean InchDeanoInch Schlabowske, Dollar Store takes rootsy chord progressions and slathers them with textures, volume and loose, angular noise to make them thick and heavy in the finest indie rock and roll sense. If their debut album was described as a slab of greasy roots rock, MONEY MUSIC should be labeled Inchextra greasyInch. The album was recorded in two days and sounds like what the sessions were - four guys, thoroughly enjoying themselves, pushing tempos and volume levels along the way.
