Kelsea Ballerini - Subject To Change - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Vyacheslav Artyomov is considered by many to be Russia's greatest living composer. After the fall of the Soviet regime his music has travelled the world to great acclaim. It is deep, ultimately spiritual and brilliantly crafted, with influences from the Russian symphonic tradition colored by Mahler, Scriabin, Honegger and Messiaen to name a few - but melded into a unique voice. Following the critical acclaim of his first two Divine Art albums, this program includes his Concerto for Chamber Orchestra 'Tempo Costante' and two suites from the ballet 'Sola Fide' ('only by Faith') which is based on the novel The Road to Calvary by Aleksey Tolstoy; it shares an ethos and much music with Artyomov's celebrated Requiem hence the choral elements found in the ballet score. These premiere recordings herald a series of another 6 albums of music by Artyomov.

PATTERNS is the 15-song follow-up to Kelsea Ballerini's GRAMMY-nominated ROLLING UP THE WELCOME MAT. Again teaming with producer/songwriter Alysa Vanderheym, the 30-year-old multiple Country Music Association award winner has delivered a song cycle that embodies the next chapter in a life completely embraced. Beyond her InchCowboys Cry TooInch duet with Alternative sensation Noah Kahan, she explores what it means to move on, fall in love, stay in love, hate love, exhale love - and face her own patterns, good and bad. Written with Vanderheym, Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee Hillary Lindsey, Songwriter of the Year GRAMMY nominee Jessie Jo Dillon and Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild, Welcome Mat's vulnerable intimacy is met with some of the most intoxicating melodies that reach across genres. Atmospheric, sunny, rhythmic and whispered, PATTERNS balances self-discovery with an album one can blissfully surrender to.
