The Kensington CableSaver Desk Mount Security Anchor is a compact steel cable trap that mounts at the edge of a desk or work surface to hold peripheral cables physically in place, making it suited to IT managers, computer labs, reception counters, and open-plan offices where equipment disappears or gets unplugged. The anchor is built from strong steel with a gray finish and a slim, lightweight profile that saves space and stays clear of legs and chairs. It secures up to three desktop accessories at the same time, so a keyboard, mouse, headset, webcam, or external drive can all be routed through one trap and held there. A MicroSaver 2.0 cable pass-through lets the same anchor point double as a tether for a notebook computer, and the trap works with Kensington MicroSaver and ComboSaver security cables, which allows an organization to standardize on the keyed or combination locks it already deploys. The design targets desktop PC deployments and individual access scenarios where one person is responsible for one station. Because it is a passive mechanical anchor, there is no software, no power supply, and nothing to configure, so a technician can deploy the same part across a room of workstations in one pass. This anchor is TAA compliant for federal, state, and education procurement, and a limited 5-year warranty from Kensington applies.
