About this product
The Kensington MicroSaver Keyed Laptop Lock is a physical security cable designed for offices, classrooms, and travel, where notebooks, monitors, and other equipment must stay anchored to a desk or another fixed object. The lock pairs a patented T-bar locking mechanism with a 6 foot steel composite cable built around a carbon tempered steel core, and the 5.5 mm cable diameter resists cutting and prying while remaining light enough to coil into a laptop bag. The T-bar head engages the standard Kensington Security Slot found on the majority of notebooks, desktops, printers, projectors, docking stations, tablet computers, and flat panel monitors, so a single lock can move between devices across a shared workspace. A built-in defense system guards the cylinder against tampering, and the keyed design means no combination has to be memorized or passed verbally between shifts. Two keys ship in the box, and Kensington offers custom keying programs that allow master access, shared access, or supervisor only access for organizations managing large hardware fleets. A rubber cable tie is included to keep the 6 foot cable coiled and tidy when the lock is stowed or carried between sites. Installation needs no tools, adapters, or adhesive, since the cable loops around a table leg or other immovable anchor, the T-bar seats into the security slot, and a turn of the key secures it. The gray cable finish and low profile head keep the lock unobtrusive on a desk, and the metal construction stands up to daily use in computer labs, libraries, and open plan offices.
Patented T-Bar™ Locking Technology
Expands inside the security slot to anchor firmly, providing superior resistance to pulling and torqueing.
Carbon Steel Cut-Resistant Cable
Durable 6 ft. cable made from strong carbon steel helps deter theft while offering flexible installation options.
Universal Security Slot Compatibility

Keyed Locking System
Simple and dependable keyed access ensures consistent security without the complexity of combinations.

The Lenovo Security Cable Lock allows customers to manage physical security access within the enterprise, offices, schools, libraries, or in other public spaces. Cable locks help reduce theft, and increase physical asset security protection for notebooks, notebook docking stations, desktops and flat panel monitors.

With today's thinner laptops and tablets, a traditional cable lock head might be too thick, unevenly raising the device off its surface. The K60601WW Slim Combination Laptop Lock is a keyless locking solution that allows ultra-thin and 2-in-1 laptops with standard lock slots to lie flat and stable.

The Kensington Combination Laptop Lock for Nano Size Security Slot is a physical security cable for thin laptops, tablets and displays that ship with the smaller Nano security slot rather than a standard T-bar opening. A resettable four-wheel number code gives 10,000 possible combinations and removes keys from the equation, so shared desks, training rooms and libraries can rotate the code between users or shifts without tracking a key ring. The cable is carbon steel for cut resistance and is wrapped in an anti-shearing plastic sleeve that resists blade attacks while keeping the cable from scratching laptop lids, desk edges and painted furniture. A slim lock head seats close against the chassis so the device can lie flat and stable on the work surface while secured, which matters for thin notebooks that sit only a few millimeters above the desk. The head pivots a full 360 degrees on the lock tip and the anchor rotates up to 90 degrees, letting the cable exit in whichever direction the anchor point allows and reducing strain on the slot when the laptop is opened, closed or repositioned. Installation is tool-free, requiring only that the code be set, the head pressed into the Nano slot and the cable looped around a fixed anchor such as a desk leg or a wall bracket. The lock suits deployments where devices stay in place overnight, including retail counters, reception desks, classrooms and open offices. The compact head and cable coil also travel well in a laptop bag for staff who move between sites. A 5-year limited warranty covers the hardware.
