Perfoms really excellent. Swapped out the originally product for an upgrade enhancement, and the sound quality is so nice. Thanks to Best Buy Techies. Awesome job.

I replaced a factory head unit in a 2002 Toyota Tacoma. This new unit opens up the modern era of audio in my old pickup by adding; blue tooth connectivity (streaming music, phone calls, etc.. while my iPhone is in my pocket), plays cd's and DVD's (haven't played a movie yet), added a backup camera (camera sold sep.), and has Apple Carplay - which is also very handy (adding spotify and google directions, etc.). Really slick! I haven't even mentioned the EQ and audio sound options, display customization and........... a volume knob!! I connected my stereo to a kicker component system in the front doors (6 1/2" mids & 3/4" tweeters w/ switchable crossovers), Factory speakers in the rear doors, and added a Kicker hideaway powered sub behind the back seat. The system sounds great.

Relatively easy to install. Looks great in the vehicle. Don’t forget to install the mic.

The Kenwood DDX5706S is a decent double-DIN car radio with Apple CarPlay and a DVD/CD player. First, a potential dealbreaker: The FM tuner does not receive FM 87.5 or 87.7, so if your favorite radio station is on one of these channels, stop right here. The Good: The controls are responsive with no perceptible lag. The features all work as they should with no issues to date. It has a volume knob, which doubles as an "attenuate" when pressed. There are four real buttons, including an "OFF" switch. The chassis is a standard Double-DIN and will work in most 2DIN dash kits. The Bad: Relatively limited FM band. Many options to process the audio, none seem to improve the sound. The backlit buttons can be set to many vivid colors, but it seems incapable of matching green dash lights or producing a clean white. Do you like a blue and white starburst picture displayed with the radio playing? Well, get used to it, because it doesn't seem to have an "off" setting, other than turning the screen off. The "Attenuate" feature only reduces the volume, and not nearly enough if the music is loud. Sadly, this also is not adjustable is settings. "Mute" would have been a better option. The CD or DVD can only be ejected with an on-screen button, which is not always visible. The Indifferent: The screen is "Okay", in brightness, clarity and touch screen operation... It would not have been difficult to make it spectacular, but alas, it is not. The sound quality, despite having many settings and alleged "High Definition Audio" , is also "Okay", IT is a step down from an OEM Premium Audio head unit. The DDX5706S is an Apple CarPlay device, and is NOT an Android Auto device, Another potential dealbreaker.... If you want both, a more expensive model has that. In short: IF you don't mind the FM band limits, and IF you use an iPhone and NOT an Android phone, the Kenwood DDX5706S isn't a bad car radio. It does everything it was designed to reasonably well. Would I buy it again? No.

Purchased this for my husband as a birthday gift. The fact that he can talk on his cell phone hands free with just one tap on the screen is the most important feature to me, but the sound clarity is awesome as well. He's only had it for about a month now, so I'm not sure if he knows what all the other functions can do. He loves it so far.

I replaced an older Kenwood with this Apple car play model. The sound quality is impressive for the price point. I have 5 channel amplifier with 2 10” subs and all infinity aftermarket speakers in a 2008 f-150 supercrew. I like the fact that I can match the oem green dash , I really like the EQ and the App that can control it from the phone was a bonus. I don’t plan on using the dvd or cd.

Best receiver for a decent price. It has all essentials stuff you need. Easy setup, equalized is pretty good, I added a satellite radio tuner. I highly recommend this stereo receiver.

Looked at all the options and for the budget this was the very best choice. Is easy to learn how to us all the funtions. It also allowed the existing builtin DVD player to be connected to the raido. Everything works great.

Great system everything seems to work well. Improves the sound quality on stock speakers. I would recommend using geek squad to instal because there are a few features that can require an expert to install.

This Radio was everything I could ask for. I’m the type of person who still buys CD’s so it brought modern Apple Car Play together with my love of CD’s.
