If you’re into custom boards but don’t want to build from scratch, the Keychron Q5 HE mechanical keyboard hits a really satisfying middle ground. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Keychron’s Q-series—solid aluminum, zero flex, and a premium feel that holds up to daily abuse. What really stands out is the sound profile. This board delivers that deep, “thocky” acoustic character enthusiasts chase, without needing a ton of mods out of the box. It’s tuned well, and the typing experience feels consistent and deliberate. I also appreciate how easy Keychron makes it to personalize. Being able to grab additional keycap sets directly from them is underrated—I ended up swapping in a red ESC and Enter key, and it adds just the right amount of visual punch without going overboard. The best keyboard out there
the build quality of this keyboard is fantastic. It's heavy meaning it won't drift on y desk. The switches sound fantastic. The magnetic switches really provide a different feel to anything I've tried before, in a really good way. Every time I sit down at my computer, I get excited all over again to type on this keyboard,
