A: The CXARC Remote Bass Level Control does not replace the Gain function on the amplifier. The Gain Control on any amplifier is to properly set your amplifier's input voltage to match your source unit's output voltage. Once the Gain is properly set the CXARC Remote Bass Level Control lets you adjust the subwoofer volume within the properly set gain range.
Q: Will this work with my Kicker DX 250.1? If not what will?
A: This will work with any kicker amp that has a “remote bass” jack on its end. So if your amp doesn’t have a port labeled “remote bass” in the area where you plug the RCA wires in and adjust the gain, then it’s not compatible. I would contact The Kicker company and ask what would work for your model amp.
