I strongly advise against buying this product. I tried multiple times to connect it to my network, but it failed every single time. This is not a user error or a network issue on my end, as I successfully run many other IoT devices (including my thermostat, security system, and pool equipment) without any trouble. Furthermore, be aware of the strict return policy: because I waited longer than 15 days after ordering to contact customer support, both Best Buy and Kidde refused to issue a refund. Best Buy’s policy states that no refunds are given for marketplace purchases once that 15-day window has passed.
