Kids - The Kids - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

When This Life Is Over, is And the Kids highly anticipated third album for Signature Sounds. Praised by NPR for Inchstriking vocals [that] rival the vibrato and boldness of Siouxsie Sioux... and music that's both fearless and entertaining,Inch And the Kids return with a bold continuation of their chunky indie rock meets blissful new wave sound, while finding inspiration in exploring the Inchtotal freedom of mortality's fate.Inch Hannah Mohan writes, InchWe took inspiration from our lyrics InchWhen this life is over/no more rules/ no more ordersInch and let that set the tone of the whole album. Mohan continues, InchWe wanted to break the rules of what an album should be like. We included bedroom demos and didn't worry about how we might play these songs live which can be very restrictive. We let everything go so that we could be our most creative selves. Although the title and theme might appear dark, it's actually about the remarkable beautiful freedom of the afterlife.

One of the world's most respected choral ensembles joins with the leading lady of British theater to create this wonderful musical entertainment for children of all ages. This is a re- of the 1986 EMI classic which has not been distributed in the US for many years, yet is one of the most beloved King'singers titles. The cast of characters, from Old King Cole to the Owl and the Pussycat, and even Wendell the Worm, are vividly brought to life by the King'singers (who also create all the sounds of familiar and unfamiliar animals, trains and submarines!). Linking the characters together is the well-known voice of Dame Judi Dench, who invites you to join them on a journey of fun and adventure in words and music.
