Straddling the fine line between so-called classical music and jazz is an award-winning duo on their new GENUIN album. Violinist Matthias Well and pianist Lilian Akopova present syncopated, blue note-soaked sounds by Astor Piazzolla, Maurice Ravel, and George Gershwin, as well as two spectacular pieces of recent date Alexander Rosenblatt's virtuosic Carmen Fantasy and Vladislav Cojocaru's at first melancholy, later groovy Kaleidoscope. Dedicated to Akopova and Well, it is recorded here for the first time. A full of creativity and color, perfect for fighting the autumn blues! Album Tracks 1. Carmen Fantasy (1994) 2. Nightclub 1960 from L'histoire Du Tango (1985) 3. Violin Sonata No. 2 in G Major, M. 77 (1923-27) 4. My Man's Gone Now from Porgy and Bess (1934-35) 5. Kaleidoscope (2020) 6.
