This review is solely based on the box set purchased over just the standard edition. thanks I stayed out of all the loops about the release for KH3 deluxe edition because I wanted to be suprised. Well, I was surprised, about how AWFUL the steelbook case is for KH3. It's so dull and plain that both the front cover of the actual game and the box art are 10x better. I feel so ripped off for spending the extra $20 for the deluxe edition. When I pre-ordered Mass effect Andromeda, I got a SWEET looking steelbook, one that I would be more proud to display than the original game cover, which is the point. I would not want to display this over the original box art..... So dissappointing Square-Enix, that steelbook art is probably the most lazy I have ever seen.

I love this game, it's amazing. There is a lot of good and new stuff that they added to make the gameplay feel fresh and new. Some draw backs though, with critical mode not being a playable mode, the difficulty in terms of just straight modes without taking anything away is lacking. Unless you go out of your way to make things hard for your self (like doing a zero EXP run while only using the kingdom key) it's really easy. Another complaint, there isn't a single final fantasy character, not one. Not even a hidden Sephiroth fight! In the end, these are just little nit picks, and the game is absolutely amazing. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves the kingdom hearts series.

I've never played any of the previous KH titles, but chose to give KH3 a shot on my XBOX ONE X. So far it is an enjoyable RPG with all of the Disney character magic. Not being familiar with the previous games in the series shouldn't deter you from giving this game a chance if you're a fan of RPG's & Disney characters. The Deluxe Edition comes with a nice art book, steel book case, pin, & the physical retail version of the game in the classic green XBOX case.

I have been a fan of the Kingdom Hearts series since the second games release, when I was still a very young child, introduced to it by my older brother. I love this series so much, and the third game is no different. The gameplay is fun and the story is interesting, if a bit weak. The aftergame content is wonderful and synthesis has been brought back. Highly recommend to those who have played the other nine game, as well to newcomers.

Wow all us FANS of the series have been waiting for this game for a long time!!! Kingdom Hearts III will not disappoint them. The new & old worlds are a joy to play through, and you are given the freedom to explore them at will. The story line is a puzzlers bliss of complicated strategies... there's no denying it, and this is not an easy jumping on point for people new to the series. Simply put it's A MAGICAL RIDE OF ADVENTURE!!! :)

Been playing these games since the first one on the original Playstation. Been so excited for this one. Graphics are phenomenal, Action is top notch. Story just as fun as the first two console games, and just a great sense of my childhood of playing this gem. I'm getting big on these SteelBook exclusives (Thank you Best Buy), so if your a collector of the sorts, this one for the library

Kingdom Hearts fans have been waiting for a true sequel for over a decade...and it's finally here! This a great game with great characters and really fun levels. The story can get a little confusing at times, but it does well enough to get you where you need to be. It was great to be back in this world and see the characters on the current generation of consoles!

After 13 years since kingdom hearts 2 and during those years we had bunch spin offs. This game is everything you love about kingdom hearts 1&2 and more, sora and company are the same lovely lot and you can finally see their story end and graphics, sounds track and voice acting are top notch. I hope square Enix brings more Japanese games to the west and on xb1.

This game has been promised for such a long time, that I thought it would never come out. The wait is finally over, and all I can say is, thank goodness! This game is pure joy, mixed with fond memories. Although I haven't finished the game yet, the story is very well-written so far. I dread finishing this game! A fitting swan song, indeed.

I have always been an avid Kingdom Hearts fan and this was an absolutely AWESOME game! The gameplay is great, graphics were amazing (especially CGI scenes) and the story is always one to grab you and leave you wanting more! And who doesn't love being able to relive some of your favorite disney movies along the way?!

If you're like me, you've been waiting 11 years since the second installment came out on PS2. Square Enix tried to fill the gap with the spin off handheld games, but they just don't add up to the feel of a standard controller. That said, it's beautiful thus far and a welcome addition to the series. The dialogue could be more organic, there's a lot of gaps between lines. It doesn't ever sound like a proper conversation. They've had a total of 17 years to figure it out.

It is nice to have such a good game to be able to play with the kids. It kind of like taking turns playing out the different Disney movies, but with added RPG elements that will appeal to old school gamers as well.

I'm only somewhat familiar with the Kingdom Hearts franchise through briefly playing (but never completing) some of the previous games, but I had been looking forward to this one. It is obvious the game was clearly developed with Japanese as the main language and some of the dialog and character animations reflect this. The intro scene is very awkward with this, but it does improve later. The gameplay is a blast and some scenes look like they are straight out of a Pixar movie. The amount of detail and care put in to some of the locations and characters is very impressive. I'd recommend this game to any RPG fan (the game does include some videos to catch newcomers up with the story).

this is the best kingdom hearts released yet. It takes all the ideas from the previous games and implements them better. The story and characters are top notch and it doesnt bog itself down with the convoluted story it has developed over the past 15 years. My one and only complaint about this game is the framerate on each console. On the xbox one x, it has goes between 50-60 fps. Its almost perfect but the few frame drops really take away from the experience. I wish they just dropped the resolution to 1080p so that it would stay at 60fps or just gave us the option. Some people say it plays better on the ps4 pro because the system lets you drop to 1080p and it stays closer to 60fps.

So I have been a fan of this game and will be as unbias as I can though. I have only played one level and I love what they have done with it. Although at times, it feels a little stalled like "dialogue" you expect from one of these games. In all honesty, the game is fandom. You will definitely have a good time playing it but I would recommend a youtube of Kingdom Hearts timeline or something...or play the other games. Conclusion, it is a great game that will put a smile on your face but story jumps a bit and game mechanics are a little hard to get used to until a few hours playing it.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is the latest Kingdom Hearts game, with Kingdom Hearts 2 being released over 10 years ago. This game has been in development for a significantly long time, and the finished product is excellent. The Disney characters are charming, the animation is breathtaking, and the soundtrack is fantastic. The game plays similarly to the previous title released back in 2006, with new mechanics introduced as well along the way. Purchase and play Kingdom Hearts 3 if you love action role playing games.

Very fun game. Awesome seeing classic Disney properties being recreated with modern graphics. Phenomenal story and characters.
