In this early sound film, Andre, a young man, falls for Madame Guarry, the wife of a wealthy older man. Their brief but passionate kiss is witnessed, leading to accusations and a dramatic courtroom trial where Madame Guarry is accused of murder. The film explores themes of forbidden love, jealousy, and the consequences of a single impulsive act. It is also notable for being Greta Garbo's last silent film.
