This is a well thought out appliance. Use all the features, you won’t be disappointed. It perfectly reheats coffee, or cooks popcorn. It does many other things, also. It’s sleek and matches my other appliances. My only concern is how the handle heats up when I am using the stove. Wish they’d have put something in the handle to combat that, being that they knew it would be used over the range. You get used to it, but it bears mentioning. That is the reason for four stars.

It's hard to find a 1200 watt microwave these days, so I was very pleased to find this model. Most of the time I use it as a nice and fast microwave, But during the holidays we really put it through its paces using it as a second convection oven. It didn't disappoint. There's a lower priced KitchenAid microwave that does much the same thing, but it isn't 1200 watt.

Bought this unit to replace my GE Profile 900W microwave. Although it is rated at 1000W, it takes longer to cook items than my 900W unit. On the positive side, it is nice looking and quiet with many functions. Note: the door handle is not located at the end of the door like most microwaves so you need to be careful to not smack your head when opening. It takes time to get used to it.

It is hard to see the control panel in low light. The fan is loud and louder at lower speeds, not useable. My 900 watt counter Microwave heats a cup of water in 1 minute but this 1200 watt microwave takes 1 minute 20 seconds. The door is so long that when you open it you have to duck. Other than that it is ok.

We upgraded to the 519 from the 319. We like it a lot better so far. My only complaint is that the keypad does not light up. You need to have a room light on in order to see what you are touching.

Has a lot more room than my last convection microwave. Cooks evenly. Extremely easy to operate.

We decided on this microwave due to all of the cooking features, and there are so many, we have not tried all of them just yet. The combination of convection and steam makes it quite versatile and a great replacement for the older microwave it replaced! The only issue is KitchenAid doesn’t give away its products, but the versatility and the quality seem to be built into this microwave!

This microwave has been everything it is supposed to be. It is large. Our previous kitchenaid had the touch pad outside the door. This one has the controls on the door making it larger. You should measure and allow more than the size specified for opening

This microwave not only looks good and well constructed, it works great. I replaced a 12 year old microwave and WOW, this baby is fantastic. It’s stylish, solid construction, and quite. This model has all the bells and whistles, easy to operate and finally I can reheat a frozen bagel, or bread and it comes out perfect, not hard as a rock. This microwave lives up to the Kitchen Aide name. The men who came out to set it up and install it were professional, neat, quick and very nice

This microwave is HUGE. Well, its a 30 inch microwave but it seems so much bigger. Its beautiful and functional. This is model is also a higher wattage than most standard microwaves, which is a bonus.

Bought this to replace an older microwave that finally gave up the ghost. Just an excellent product, amazing flexibility in terms of programming, quiet, looks great. Installation team also did a fantastic job. Best Buy is awesome.

Just installed, but so far I like using it. It is larger than I expected and comes out farther from cabinet.

This microwave replaced a model that was about 10 years old. The differences are astounding. The microwave is extremely quiet while cooking, and the exhaust fan is reasonably quiet as well. The exhaust fan is an upgrade over the standard charcoal filters that you see frequently. The filter in this microwave is more along the lines of what you'd get in a $2000 exhaust hood. I haven't yet used the convection bake or grilling feature but am excited to do so!

Really nice and sleek - just a little bit bigger than average, but looks fantastic

We just remodeled kitchen and wanted powerful exhaust. Hood would be better option for power, but we were glad that we found this microwave and thought it will save us space without sacrificing performance. It does look very good above the stove. This is a plus point. First disappointment was when I realized it does not have removable and "dishwasher save " grease filters. Filters are semi-removable, I need to lay on the stove and with screwdriver find little screws to unscrew them, wash them and screw back. First time I did it - heavy filter fell on my new expensive glass stove-top. I am so glad it didn't brake it. Why there was no simple clip as most microwaves and hoods have? Second disappointment is that surface inside is not made of stainless steel, it's not smooth as expected, looks like painted or powdered. For this price they could give us better material. I still like it. It does the job.

I love the microwave. The pushbutton feature is great. You can bake and crisp with it. There is only one thing that I would change if I could: it only gives a completion signal one time. I am going to call Kitchen Aid to see if that can be adjusted.
