Love this fridge! We’ve wanted a 42-inch model for a while. It’s not as deep as our old one, but everything is easier to see and access—nothing gets lost. Lots of great door storage and it looks beautiful in our kitchen. The freezer is smaller than our previous counter-depth LG, and it is pricey, but we’re hoping it lasts for many years.

Overall this is an exceptional refrigerator. Several years ago we had a high-end premium brand installed at our previous home, and it's worth noting that I actually like this KitchenAid much better. It's efficient and spacious, and the interior is well laid out providing plenty of storage options. We are a family of 8, and have found this 24.2 Cu. Ft. option to have plenty of space for everything we need. On the downside, there is no water dispenser. We have also discovered that the ice maker (even on MAX ICE MODE) does not create as much ice as we would like.

Very nice, very large refrigerator. Love the way it is setup, everything is at your fingertips in plain sight. Lots of gallon storage in the doors. Lightning is bright LEDs everywhere and the interior is a beautiful gray. Not finished as nice as the high end refrigerators but they cost 50% more and don’t come in black stainless.

When we bought our new house in Vegas it came with the older model of this. It was about 12 years old and the compressor just stopped working. Since it's a built in this is the only unit that would fit in the area so this was about the only choice without having to have a different model re-fitted. It's expensive, about $8900, but well worth it. The new model is very high tech with beautiful LED lighting...and lots of room..over 24 cubic feet. I can't think of anything negative to say about it. We are really happy with it and admire it everyday. A fantastic edition to our kitchen. If you a planning a remodel and are looking for an amazing built in refrigerator, this one should be on top of your list.

Panel ready fridge. Difficult to understand mounting systems and door clearances ahead of time. I looked up some older manuals and diagrams were much more detailed, but now Kitchenaid has omitted those from the manual. Doors had to be set at 90 degrees, but they don't stay open very well at that angle, they want to close on you. There's no way to use it like french doors unless you hold your elbows out to keep from getting close on, or you need a helper. Even though we installed panels, there is a lot of aluminum that shows on the front, we're thinking about painting all that aluminum to match the stained wood on the door panels. Freezer door is hard to pull out. Ice maker makes too much ice and it piles up and then gets knocked out and falls into the bottom part of the freezer when opening the ice drawer. Eventually I will have to clear out the freezer then reach in there and clean up all the ice that's fallen out. If I don't think about the price, it is a mostly enjoyable fridge, but when I do think of the price I feel like these details should have been worked out and documentation should have been impeccable. I always wonder if these appliance companies ever sit down with a focus group to see if they have the info they need in a manual and installation. It was professionally installed, but since some of the kitchenaid details are different than other manufacturers, it was quite hard to get right.

I must say I genuinely love this fridge. I’ve had it for two years, and it continues to be a focal point in my kitchen because of its sleek, clean look, quietness, easy access, user-friendly, and ability to keep fresh food much longer than a regular refrigerator. This fridge remains one of my top purchases, given my strong affinity for KitchenAid—every appliance in my kitchen proudly bears the KitchenAid brand.

Our last built in was a side by side and I didn't like the minimal refrigerator space. This Kitchen Aid is wonderful on space!! My only complaint would be the french doors slam easily; and sometimes if not careful especially with kids the rubber doesn't close the door all the way.

This fridge is an absolutely a beast of a fridge. The inside is expansive. I feel like it would be able to hold everything for two or three Thanksgiving meals. The finish is amazing and looks great in the kitchen.

We have used our new Kitchen Aid refrigerator for about one month and it is everything we expected. Beautifully laid out on the inside and has worked flawlessly. The buying experience was great and the install as well. Among the counter depth built-ins available for our kitchen it was the best buy as a replacement for a Viking, although still pricey. We are very pleased.

First of all, it's gorgous! We bought the24.2 Cu. Ft. French Door stainless steel built-in refrigerator. With the refigerator French Doors on top, we now have all the space required to hold the all of our small things up to large and wide containers. A majority of our food isn in the refigerator, and now we can see the items on the shelves and drawers so much better that before. I didn't think we'd like the Freezer down below the refrig section, by it seems to be working! When you pull out the freezer drawer, the contents are easier to see and easier to load after coming home from shopping. We waited over 3 years for our buil-in to come in. It's pricy, but we love it>

I had an old subzero and never thought I'd find a new fridge that could match it for space. I was pleasantly surprised when loading all the food in that I had plenty of room. I've always had a side by side refrigerator/freezer, so to switch from top/bottom is taking some getting used but overall I'm very pleased.

We have been looking at this Refrigerator to buy it for an entire year, We just ordered it a week ago, and we are scheduled to receive it on May 18th 2020, we are anticipating it to be all that we hope for in our newly remodeled kitchen and we are greatly looking forward to it arriving. We researched this Refrigerator in every avenue available to us for an entire year before purchasing it, and found it to have everything that we wanted, from looks, right down to whether it would fit a gallon bottle of milk in the door shelf: and whether we could order the egg and butter trays instead of regular trays for the top part of the doors, which we were told that we could, and the cost is around $15.00 to $16.00 dollars each to have these extra features, but it does not automatically come with them, we are happy with that and are anticipating our new refrigerator arriving soon, We can give a more updated review once it is installed, and cannot wait for it to arrive and start using it, as well as how beautiful it will look once installed. We hope all of our in-depth research pays off.

The stainless steel shows any fingerprints easily and this is unfortunate. I‘ve taken a bit of time getting used to the two door model but it is a fine Refrigerator/freezer. Food has stayed in great condition during my only first ten days with it. I feel it is very expensive which I’m trying to figure out exactly why. Just cuz it is a built in model?

French door layout provides more useable space compared to prior side-by-side. Also like not wasting space for the through-the-door ice and water delivery. Bottom freezer more energy efficient than side-by-side. Have to be sure the French doors always close fully.

This is my second KitchenAid refrigerator, same models! I love the style and classic look it gives my kitchen. The interior is spacious enough to hold everything for our family of 5. It's quiet even when making ice. Easy to clean. Easy to keep items organized inside.

Only a month or so since installation, but generally a good experience with this built-in refrigerator. I wish KitchenAid could back off on the branding. It would be a better design without the logo. Just my opinion.

We have a family of six and it’s great. Has plenty of storage compartments which are bad of you buy in bulk (only reason it’s not 5 stars). Otherwise the fridge is plenty big for all the juices, milk, water and everything else. Came with a one year warranty from the manufacturer and I added the $300 for 3 years warranty which kicks in after the mfct. warranty, which covers food spoilage up to $200 and any and all repairs.

We replaced a 25 year old KitchenAid 42” built-in with this. No modification needed for it to fit. Installers were awesome. Not only does it look amazing, but it so much more space inside. Love the LED interior lighting too.
