A: Its a new item
A: We just had ours delivered today and they were able to take off the doors & handles in order for it to fit through the doorways! They were easly installed once the fridge is placed in it's correct spot.
A: Hello Kim! We are terribly sorry to hear about your concern. We would recommend contacting KitchenAid® at 1(800)422-1230. We are available weekdays, between 8 am to 8 pm EST. They will be better able to assist you.
Q: Does the ice maker have the option of whole or crushed ice?
A: Hello Slips! Yes, this does have crushed or cubed. Thank you for your inquiry on our KitchenAid appliances.
A: The French doors do not close by themselves. They have to be manually closed, unlike the older model that we owned.
Q: What # should the refrigerator and freezer side should be on
A: For your convenience, your refrigerator and freezer temperature controls are set to the recommended set points at the factory. When you first install your refrigerator, make sure the temperature controls are still set to the recommended set points. The recommended set points are 37°F (3°C) for the refrigerator and 0°F (-18°C) for the freezer. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our KitchenAid appliances!
Q: Is the water dispenser tall enough to fit a water pitcher or coffee pot?
A: Hi Lizzie, you would not be able to fit a pitcher in that area. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Q: Is it quiet? I have an open floor plan and my current refrigerator is very loud.
A: Yes I have found it very quite, you do hear the ice drop from time to time.

I will preface this review by saying that I have only had this fridge for 2 weeks so take from this as you will. This fridge is absolutely beautiful from the interior lighting of the fridge to the pole-like handles on the outside. The display panel is easy to use and understand and offers nice features such as "measured fill" and "vacation mode". The interior of the fridge has more space and lighting than I know what to do with and having the ice maker in the door keeps you from losing half of your top shelf and just adds to the beauty of the inside. Nothing is perfect, though, and this fridge is no exception. The fruit and vegetable drawers do seem a bit flimsy and they don't close with the conviction that I would like them to close. When I open the drawers it is very easy to shake them left and right which doesn't give me too much confidence in their production (it's hard to show this in pictures but I tried by swinging the drawers to the inside). When I close the drawers I have to make sure that they are closed because I always feel like they aren't closed. It's just something that I am finding to be very annoying. There are also these clear stickers that come on the "chrome" part of the drawers that you have to remove when you first get the fridge. The issue here is that there are black markings on the stickers that leave a residue on the drawers after removing the stickers (see pictures). The residue is very difficult to remove and I feel like I am scratching the shiny part which makes it noticeable. That's something I was very upset about. The freezer section has a lot of storage space as well but it could use more lighting. There is considerably more lighting in the fridge section than there is in the freezer section. All-in-all this fridge is off to a good start, minus some minor flaws, but it is still early so I will hold my breath on a final conclusion.

We purchased this particular model to replace our 20 year old KitchenAid (it was was time) mostly because it was another KitchenAid and it was the largest one that would fit in our space. We've had it a couple weeks now, and I can't say we love it or hate it. In other words, it's a refrigerator. Some observations - 1. The print-shield stainless is effective. Doesn't show prints or smudges much. It's also magnetic, for all those proud parents looking to hang kid stuff on the fridge. 2. The warning chime when the door is left ajar is nice. It's saved me any number of times. What would be even nicer however is if the door closed more naturally and easily, and didn't keep getting left ajar. It's a warning beep to cover up for the poor design. 3. It's noisier than our prior 20 year old KitchenAid. I mean it's not a garage band or anything, but the noise is definitely more noticeable than our old model. 4. General design is nice. Have never had the freezer on the bottom before, and I like it. 5. The meat-cheese drawer goes all the way across. Meaning you have to open both exterior doors to use it. The point to having two doors is to only open the one you need. To get in this drawer, that means opening both. The drawer should have been split in half. Again, another minor design flaw we didn't notice or think about in the store, but notice now. 6. Ice maker fully contained in the door is nice. It's pretty out of the way, doesn't take up much space. It's also pretty high volume. This is done right. 7. It's pretty and goes with our kitchen well. In summary...... this is a refrigerator. I don't love it, I don't hate it. Some things are done well, some are not. But at the end of the day, it keeps the food cold.

I purchased the KitchenAid - 27 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator - Printshield Stainless Steel and love a lot of its features. The prinshield front is beautiful and does not show fingerprints. Easy to clean. The refrigerator drawers are positioned to hold a lot of food including 9x13 inch pans. The long pull out tray can hold a 20x12 inch pan plus other containers. The doors hold six open drawers that hold many food items like your condiments and milk. I love to cook so I need a refrigerator to hold a lot of food and this was my best choice! The LED lighting is bright throughout the fridge and freezer. The freezer is bigger than my last side-by-side fridge. I love the separators on the two pull out freezer drawers. You can easily see all your food. The water dispenser displays and automatically dispenses water in ounces, cups or liter. Overall there are a lot of nice features to organize and see your food.
