I upgraded from a 4 burner to a 5 burner. This cooktop is VERY well built and sturdy. The knobs are metal unlike how others use plastic. There's plenty of space for several pots and pans which is great for a 30 inch cooktop.

The cooktop has a lot of positives. It is powerful and beautiful took look at. The problem I have is the grates that came with the product was defective. The notch to connect the center grate and the two side grates was a few centimeters off. So the gratesdo not to line up. The center grate sits a little further back. I called Kitchen Aid. I had two live chats end prematurely. I called and once I finally got thru customer service Is sending me new grates. So within minutes of installation this for a almost $900 dollar cooktop. Let’s see what happens.

So far I'm very pleased with the performance of this cook top. I had it installed on December 10th. It is actually a very attractive cook top, the grates sit a bit higher than my old one, but it does not seem to be a hindrance as far as the performance goes. I absolutely love the metal knobs. I had a GE 4 burner, builder grade cook top, that I couldn't wait to get rid of. This is the 2nd kitchenaid major appliance I have purchased for my home (I also bought a Kitchenaid dishwasher, which I absolutely love) and can't wait to replace my refrigerator, microwave and oven next.

I love my new cooktop. The grates fit perfectly together, and I like the fact that they are continuous. The cleanup is also not bad as some reviews had mentioned. I’m also not sure what some reviewers saw in mentioning that the flame was too low to adequately cook or even boil water in their cookware, I have not found this to be the case at all. I also like the fact that the knobs are metal and low enough where the pots do not bump them while moving them around in cooking. The knobs do not get hot even though they are metal and bigger pots on the front burners overlap them a little. . Some other brands have knobs that are plastic painted with a stainless steel finish and sit higher than the grates. I can see how this would be a problem with those brands with peeling and melting as some reviews described. I’ve only had my cooktop a month but love the look and functionality so far. We replaced a 22 year old cooktop (GE) with this Kitchenaid and had to have a professional cut about a 1/4 inch on one side of the granite. It was not as big a deal as we had thought. Make sure to look at the ‘minimum’ dimensions for the cutout on your countertop (there is a minimum, recommended, and maximum). It avoided us having to cut into the countertop on 2 sides instead of just the one. Hope this helps! I read many reviews to come to my decision on this purchase.

Good looking, big solid grates. Not sure I care the knob placement, feels short on grate surface area in the corners. The burners are also louder than I expected. Overall improved kitched asthetics and appeal.

Easy cleanup - just bought a new house. I had just completed my old house with new LG products. With this house I tried the kitchenaid. Love the look (get many compliments) and think they work way better. The stainless steel seems to stay cleaner with the kitchenaid as well!

This cooktop fits in the cutout for our old whirlpool cooktop (the other two KitchenAid 30” Gas cooktops missed by about 1/8”. Anyway, turns out that this cooktop is awesome! The placement of the burners is such that I can put a large pot on the center burner and still have room for other pots - not as easy to do on the other cooktops. Very pleased with the ease of cleanup afterward. Burners all work great. So much better than our old Whirlpool! Looks great as well.

We love this cooktop more than we expected we would! We were a little worried about the thickness of the grates and the distance to the flames, but it works great, and everything cooks even better than it used to on our old one. The only problem we had was with the "free installation" covered by our TotalTech plan. The 3rd-party installers didn't really know what they were doing, and they did the conversion wrong. We had to wait over a week and pay nearly 200 for our gas service provider to come out and re-do the conversion. So much for "free" installation, but at least it works now.

The Kitchen-Aid 5-burner stainless steel cooktop offers a gourmet feel to my kitchen at an affordable price. Easy to fit, slide and cool pots and pans of all sizes. I love the horizontal display of knobs for easy adjustment.

It looks great, and cleans nicely. I wish the knobs came off for a better cleaning. But the best thing about this stove is how it works

Works well. Couple things to get used to. When lighting a burner all the burners click and spark but only the one you turn the knob for actually lights. The stainless steel shows all splatter and I clean after each use. When wiping knobs clean, they spark when you press down even slightly. I have started to pull up on the knobs while wiping them to avoid the sparkint.

Definitely get what you pay for with this KitchenAid Steve top. Excellent burners which also allows you to adjust the amount of gas going to burners. The only thing that KitchenAid could have done better was the brand name on the stove itself. Most KitchenAid stove tops have a higher grade name plate on them, this specific one came with the name stencil painted on it, very minor but not normal for KitchenAid.

Happy with my new stove top Boils water rapidly. Loved the 5 burners. The contril knobs are well marked. Grates are heavy and durable.

Awesome cooktop. Switched from electric to gas. This is a beautiful cooktop and I am thrilled to be using it instead of the dreadful electric that came with this house. It goes well with the Whirlpool oven we bought and the refrigerator and microwave of the same design. KitchenAid blends in with these other appliances.
