A: It certainly does.
Q: Are the control knobs plastic?
A: Hello Wiley. The knobs are metal for this KitchenAid® Range. We hope this helps!
A: Alfred, this is normal for ovens. The pre-heat timer will go off when the oven is ready for food to be put in. It may not be completely up to the set temperature.
A: Hi there, there is "hidden" element on the bottom! That is what I love about it: much easier to clean! Max temp on regular baking: I put 500 and hit start: it took it! Not sure if it adjusts later, but was able to add it. :)
Q: What are the dimensions of the range?
A: 29 7/8 " Wide, 46 1/8" Tall (Floor to top of control panel), 36" floor to cook top, 27 3/4" deep.
Q: what is difference between single and duel on temperature knob
A: Hello Seve, there is a single burner or if you need the bigger burner you can use the dual burner which uses the entire area. We hope this helps.
Q: what is the highest temperature in the convection bake setting?
A: 500 degrees is the highest it will go.
Q: How strong is the cooktop? Things can get a little rough in my kitchen :-) I use cast iron.
A: I could not use my cast iron because it was not flat

I was looking at different ranges but Kitchenaid is my favorite choice, range its very easy to use and the food cooks very evenly, I also like the space it has for the oven. I am very satisfied with the quality and performance of this electric range so far, and to top it off, It's stainless steel

Only have had this for a couple of weeks and I love it. The burners are very reactive. If you have something boiling and want it to not boil so hard and you turn it down, it goes down just as fast as gas. The huge oven will hold 3 cookie sheets and that is one batch of chocolate chip cookies. Your top sheet will be done first, but once one is done then rotate and the cooking time is fast. Somebody said it is slow to heat up the oven, I don't notice that because as a seasoned cook I always start the oven before I even start to make an item, plus I did not notice it any slower than my previous oven. I have made cookies, cake, beef roast, pizza and bread. I have had an awesome outcome on everything. I do love a true convection oven and if you are use to it you know how much time it can save you. Have not had to clean it yet so I don't know about that. I usually don't have spills, but I have cleaned the inside of the door/window and no big deal.

We paid more because it was kitchenaid and wanted something to last as long as our last range. Out the box, the stainless steel cover was Installed crooked over the oven door. We were going to return but decided too much of a headache... Best Buy made it worth keeping. We opted for the larger oven cavity and expectedly the storage was less. Storage door and tracks it sits on are very flimsy, not as sturdy as our old GE. Operation wise, it has plenty of features. Read up on features. Seems you can buy same oven by Whirlpool for much less. Name only difference. Hey, it’s a new oven...
