KitchenAid - KHM512IB Ultra Power 5-Speed Hand Mixer - Ink Blue

This hand mixer is light weight and does an amazing job on heavy duty 5 quart mixing items.

I purchased this as a replacement for my Hamilton Beach mixer, which finally broke after 20 years of hard work. Out of the box, beautiful color (I chose blue), and super lightweight. The arms were a little tricky to insert (one of the holes is more recessed than the other), and it took me a couple tries to make sure they were in securely. Once I got everything going, I made a batch of lemon bars, and this little mixer did a great job. Operation was quiet and shifting power levels was incredibly smooth. From breaking up the butter into a shortbread crumb (hard work), to fluffing up the lemon curd (delicate job), this mixer did an excellent job. I think I’ll find myself using this more often than it’s big bro, the kitchen aid stand mixer, as cleanup is so much easier, and I love this blue color. Super happy with this purchase.

As my dessert is baking in the oven, I thought I wouldn't waste another minute to let you know how tickled I am with this mixer. I checked out many hand mixers and read LOTS of reviews. This mixer doesn't disappoint in any way...It is lightweight, QUIET!!!!, low speed is VERY LOW, sturdy construction, and just plane delightful! The beaters are much thinner than my other mixer, but very powerful in delivery. This mixer will get a LOT of use!

Sturdy and handy - it fits in the cabinet nicely. Powerful for beating eggs and blending-creaming with butter for cookies. Makes a nicely whipped frosting. It fits in my largest mixing bowl without the beaters. I put those to the side. Compact.
