Kitto - Crash - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2004 . Kitto takes the very best of Grunge and Indie Rock, smacks them up, and then adds a voice you'll never forget! She brings a provocative intensity to every performance that always takes the audience by storm. The Australian Rock performer/songwriter has toured in more than 36 countries around the globe, from the North Pole to Tasmania, Robben Island to Tahiti, and the scope of her music mirrors that world of travel. From heavy Rock anthems to haunting acoustic ballads, her original songs and interpretations of classics evoke emotions from loss and sorrow to the sheer joy of being alive.

This recording is a structured improvisation in the realm of Persian traditional music and electronic music. It's a mixture of virtuosic violin playing and highly complex live electronic processing. What has been attempted here is to produce a work in which electronics and the computer play important structural roles without any demand for substantial deviation from the Persian traditional musical form. The work speaks of a musical journey in which seemingly separate worlds reach into one another, complementing and challenging one another, without forgetting their own identity or violating the identity of the other.

Wow! This 1973 Folk/Psych gem is finally going to see it's day on Compact Disc. Presented in a beautiful Digi-Pak , this psyched-out guy from Ohio will not disappoint. Right of the master tapes.
