High end is extremely aggressive on all Klipsch speakers, something I l wish I had known before buying into a 5.1.2 system. (RP-8000F II, RP-404C II, RP-500SA II and these RP-502S II) I began having ear pain within the first week, no amount of eq seems to tone them down. Within a day of packing the speakers up to return them the ear pain subsided. If you have even slightly sensitive ears, stay away from Klipsch. The best they sounded was after I packed them up for return. Back to my old Bower’s and Wilkins.

I bought 2 of these and am using them as my LR speakers on top of the fireplace mantle for my stereo system. Coupled with a powered sub, I couldn't be happier with the result!
