A: From my understanding these speakers are meant to be placed on top of your floor standing speakers or mounted to the wall. The mounting bracket underneath doesn't seam to allow for a ceiling mount support but perhaps you can get away with it but i wouldn't recommend it bc they could slide off female built in bracket and fall to the ground if they are mounted vertically. My setup allows the sound to bounce off the ceiling. I don't know how to tech a proper dobly atmos setup. Hope this helps.
A: You will want to connect the R-40SA II into your receiver's HEIGHT or ATMOS channels. We do not recommend connecting these speakers into your Chorus' terminal connectors.

Love my new speakers
I’ve waited a week to watch tv and listen to music before typing this review. I purchased the Klipsch R-800F, R-40SA, and R-50M from Best Buy. These speakers are absolutely amazing. I already had a nice sub, and was going to get a second one, but i dont need it (this is coming from someone who had two 12s and two 10s in my trunk back in high school/college). No matter where i sit, if i turn it up and play a song with bass, my entire body vibrates. I got them on sale and I’m more impressed than i thought I would be.

I'm in speaker heaven!!!
I love my new Klipsch speakers!! Upgraded from Quintet speakers and Synergy subs to now all Reference series... Love the sound, clarity and aesthetics of how they look.

Great height speakers
These improved my sound a lot.Sounds like i have a much bigger tv screen . Its more theater sounding. Goes great with the towers and sub and rear surrounds.
