Knowing - BLU-RAY [Standard]

I really enjoy this movie, and the Blu Ray does it justice. Smarty written with Nicholas Cage giving a great performance, and special effects that are still great today. The disc looks and sounds great , and will always be a part of my library.

First time I watched this movie I was on the edge of my seat. It's still exciting to watch. It's one of my favorite movies. I just had to buy it.

This is one of my very favorite movies. The sound design and video are reference quality. Couple this with an embracing and intelligent script and you have a winner. Of particular note is the sound design. I have a rather expensive speaker system and this movie is always one to show off my speaker system. The dialog is always clear and crisp. The scenes that will test any system is a plane crash, subway crash, and the ending. My only caution would be to be very attentive to the sound level on these scenes - they are that powerful. My two SVS subs. handled these scenes with great authority. Sit back and enjoy. I would also suggest determining what audio setting you like, be it Dolby Atmos or DTS-HD MA. I am not a fan of Dolby Atmos so my default audio choice is always DTS or DTS-X whenever possible. Lastly, I absolutely agree with Roger Ebert's review of this movie, "A superbly crafted thriller." There are now 2 versions of this movie and the 4K offers Atmos and DTS, allowing one to really hear the difference between the two.

Item arrived promptly and was packed well, would buy again.

First off, I'm not going to say that I think "Knowing" is one of the greatest films ever made, nor do I think it's a perfect film by any means as it does have a few problems, but overall, I've always really enjoyed this one. I love the cinematography, the atmosphere, the tone, the premise, the score and especially the tense moments scattered throughout this film. Sometimes, it pays not to listen to what others say and instead watch a film and come to your own conclusions. For me, I always got a fair amount out of this film compared to a lot of others. It's not a masterpiece by any means, but it's one that I always enjoy. I would give it an 8/10 overall.
