In the tenth year of Diabolic Night's existence, prime mover Heavy Steeler releases a second album that not only ultimately defines his solo project but also pushes the boundaries of what scenesters have declared to be the pure doctrine of blackened speed metal. Honing his craft in the course of one demo, 7-inch and mini LP respectively, the reclusive German released his debut full-length InchBeyond the RealmInch in late 2019 to much critical acclaim, thereby establishing the basic formula for more things to come. InchA desire I carried with me from an early age was to write a coherent story set in a fictional world where the listener is engrossed from the first to the last secondInch, Heavy Steeler explains, stressing that present reality gets disregarded in favour of a strictly escapist experience. Thus, InchBeneath the Crimson ProphecyInch is even more themed than it's loosely conceptual predecessor, as reflected in both the opulent artwork and photography. Atmospherically, Diabolic Night's new material sports a slightly darker armour without neglecting any of the assets the multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer has become known for NWoBHM-tinged lead guitar work as in the earworm 'Pandemonium' or the addictive, singable melodies of 'Starlit Skies', frosty tremolos straight from early-90s Scandinavia as well as unmistakable mid-80s Ruhr area breakneck drumming and a barking vocal delivery. Still, there's an epic twist to it all, testament to the narrative structure and Heavy Steeler's uncompromising vision. Recorded again with the help of trusted skinsman Christhunter in three different studios and graced with another striking cover by Adam Burke (Angel Witch, Portrait), the songs scream to be performed on stage, which will happen, of course, with a full live line-up. Indeed, now it is time to look at what's InchBeneath the Crimson ProphecyInch... FFO VENOM,

Vinyl LP pressing. Flamin' Groovies Now isn't quite as cohesive as Shake Some Action, the album that preceded it, but in many respects the band sounds at once tighter and more relaxed, with some time on the road firming up the rhythm section while giving the songs a bit more room to swing.

With their fourth album InchCosmocratorInch, Khnvm are entering a downward spiral into the abyss of the human experience. The death metal brainiacs explore the crossroads of psychology, philosophy, and spirituality. The album title InchCosmocratorInch carries a dual significance. It symbolises the InchRuler of the WorldInch and, within religious vocabulary, also stands for InchSatanInch. This reflects the album's exploration of common phenomena, expressed through an adrenaline-fueled artistic lens. With the thought-provoking lyrics and harsh yet to the point musicality of InchCosmocratorInch, Khnvm promise not to just deliver on musical terms but also to captivate those who are drawn to complex narratives and philosophical depth. Khnvm are a death metal band that has walked the line between old school death metal and contemporary influences without stumbling. Fronted by Bangladeshi-born guitarist and vocalist Obliterator, the band was founded and is firmly based in Germany. When Khnvm entered the scene with their debut album InchForetold Monuments of FleshInch on Testimony Records in 2019, they were immediately met with acclaim both from critics and fans alike. In the wake of the second album, InchPortals to OblivionInch (2021), Khnvm began to perform live. Meanwhile, Khnvm have toured, entered stages at many festivals, and played headliner and support shows across Europe. With InchCosmocratorInch, Khnvm offer a dual approach The easy way is to enjoy the album simply for it's outstanding musical merit. Yet there is also the far more winding path to take with it's intricate lyrics and rich thoughts to be analysed, explored, and discussed for many years to come - and new meanings to be found as well as discoveries of fresh ideas to be made with each new turn!
