About this product

One of the Inchbig fourInch of Teutonic thrash metal along with Destruction, Sodom and Tankard, Essen's Kreator helped pioneer death metal and black metal as we know it but are best known and beloved for their classic thrash metal style. They were one of the first group's to sign to a major tag and have gone on to sell over two million albums to date making them one of the best-selling German thrash metal bands of all time. Kreator's savage 1985 debut Endless Pain is viewed as a pivotal album in the creation of the thrash-influenced black metal sound. It's being reissued here on double vinyl complete with the group's original demos - Blitzkrieg (1983) and End Of the World (1984) - recorded when they were still known as Tormentor. The newly created artwork is packed with rare photos and notes from Petrozza and music journalist Malcolm Dome.

Kreator - Cause For Conflict - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

One of the Inchbig fourInch of Teutonic thrash metal along with Destruction, Sodom and Tankard, Essen's Kreator helped pioneer death metal and black metal as we know it but are best known and beloved for their classic thrash metal style. They were one of the first group's to sign to a major tag and have gone on to sell over two million albums to date making them one of the best-selling German thrash metal bands of all time. Noise Records continues their Kreator reissue campaign with a new remastered and expanded colored double vinyl pressing of the group's seventh album, Cause For Conflict, originally released in 1995. While not entirely abandoning the experimental nuances which had been so crucial to it predecessor, there was somewhat of a return to familiar territory here. InchLostInch and InchIsolationInch were released as singles and the passage of time has seen Cause for Conflict come to be regarded as one of Kreator's underrated hidden gems.

Kreator - Outcast - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Formed in Essen, Germany in 1982, Kreator are arguably the most influential and successful European thrash metal band ever; like many of their European speed metal brethren, Kreator fused Metallica's thrash innovations with Venom's proto-black metal imagery. Often referred to as one of the InchBig 4Inch of Teutonic thrash metal, and they are often credited with helping pioneer death metal and black metal by containing several elements of what was to become those genres. The band has achieved worldwide sales of over two million units for combined sales of all their albums, making them one of the best-selling German thrash metal bands of all time. The band's style has changed several times over the years, from a Venom-inspired speed metal sound, later moving in to thrash metal, and including a period of transitioning from thrash to industrial metal and gothic metal throughout the 1990s. In the early 2000s, Kreator returned to their classic thrash sound, which has continued to the present. With hindsight, and a sense of history, Outcast is certainly one of Kreator's most inventive and important albums. The German gargantuan-watt gladiators' eighth studio was different to anything they'd done in the past, during a time when metal was in turmoil due to the grunge and Nu Metal explosions. The title Outcast was appropriate for how the band felt in the late 1990s and when Outcast was released in July 1997 it wasn't a huge selling album; nonetheless it proved they were still an exciting, individual and focused band.

In the early 2000s, Kreator returned to their classic thrash sound, which has continued to the present. 1987's Terrible Certainty did nothing to dent the perception that Kreator were one of the genre's best bands, and for once, Petrozza had a little time to work out the songs beforehand. Kreator beefed up to a quartet once again with the addition of guitarist Jörge Trebziatowski. This version also contains the Out of the Dark... Into the Light EP which was originally released in 1988. The live tracks were recorded at Dynamo Club, Eindhoven, Netherlands, in 1988.
