About this product
Digitally re-mastered edition of the Swiss Hard Rock band's 1981 album. It's fair to say that the Swiss music scene hadn't exactly set the world on fire but with Krokus that situation was rapidly reversed. The band's fourth album METAL RENDEZ-VOUS became a surprise success, not only in their home country but also globally where they secured a strong foothold in the charts and on the live front. The band's no-nonsense brand of tough-guy Hard Rock found favor in a market that was wide open for that revolution. HARDWARE, therefore, was released into the arms of an eager fan base feeding off the energy of their previous album and it didn't disappoint them. The record picks up where the band left off, laying down some serious riffage on songs that display a cheeky lyrical charm; an unexpected side-effect of their Swiss/Maltese heritage. Engineered by British studio master Mark Dearnley (AC/DC, Def Leppard) and recorded in London, the album makes full use of their powerful armory, led by the ripping two guitar attack of Fernando von Arb and Tommy Keefer.

I've always wanted to make an album like Blush. In ways I've made records like this before but I've never produced em at this level of quality when it boils down to storytelling and sonic shaping. Last summer was heavy, awful. I lost the love of my life. It got so bad that I had to leave California. I went back to Texas to link w my day ones. Family, ya know? Ya boy had to slow things down and look in the mirror, and be a grown up. Cut the B*tch stuff out. I was like, oh, ok. I AM 100% AT MY BEST when I'm directing other artists; 2001 & The Chronic. Blush. When I went to jail over some bullshit out in Conroe, I realized how much I care about my work and my audience. And also how I've taken so many things for granted for so long. Not only did I feel guilty, I felt small. I believe God finds their way into my thoughts more often than less &&& I know that I am beyond lucky to be able to have a shot at this thing. This career, this industry, this art-form. My life. Thanks. I care a lot. I'm strong. I got us. BLUSH is the way. June 2025. P.S., I love Peter but leaving Sony has helped me find my way back to being me. Because I am 17 again even though I'm 28. 29 next month btw. Anyway, see y'all in a week or so. This album is my favorite one so far.. Cliff Simpson, Sent from Hawaii. 2xLP Sky Blue Vinyl in Gatefold Jacket with Printed Inner Sleeves and 36Inch x 24Inch Folded Insert. Includes extra track InchDoggyInch.
