The legendary Slovenian group's first original studio album since 2014's Spectre, Musick - intensely pop, yet intensely Laibach. Available via Mute on limited edition neon pink vinyl and CD. This record simultaneously celebrates and critiques the current era of warped reality and AI imitation. The title reflects a duality an oversaturation, being Inchsick of musicInch in an age where over 100,000 new tracks, many AI-generated, are uploaded daily, making us question reality; and a Inchpathological devotionInch that continues to drive the band. The maximalist creation process in their Ljubljana studio involved analogue synths, toys, computers with sound apps, and collaborators like Donna Marina Mårtensson and Richard X. They drew influences from K-pop, J-pop, and '90s Eurodance, yet maintained that their Inchprimary influence and reference point remained Laibach itself.Inch

The Last Dinner Party - InchFrom The PyreInch The Last Dinner Party on the album InchThis record is a collection of stories, and the concept of album-as-mythos binds them. 'The Pyre' itself is an allegorical place in which these tales originate, a place of violence and destruction but also regeneration, passion and light. It feels a little darker, more raw and more earthy, a little metatextual and cheeky in places, like a knowing look reflected back at ourselves. The songs are character driven but still deeply personal, a commonplace life event pushed to pathological extreme. Being ghosted becomes a Western dance with a killer, and heartbreak laughs into the face of the apocalypse. Lyrics invoke rifles, scythes, sailors, saints, cowboys, floods, Mother Earth, Joan of Arc, and blazing infernos. We found this kind of evocative imagery to be the most honest and truthful way to discuss the way our experiences felt, giving each the emotional weight it deserves.Inch CD Digipak. EXPLICIT
