It features a 90° connection to the dryer exhaust outlet and a 90° connection to the duct connection to the outside. This duct allows for the dryer to be placed 3 in. from the wall for optimum space utilization. The 2-piece aluminum construction allows for this duct to extend in length. Answered by LambroTo access this duct for cleaning, it must be disconnected from the dryer and wall. Damp lint tends to stick to smooth or rigid surfaces. Smooth surfaces allow the lint to move through the duct more freely without resistance.
