Langhorne Slim - Strawberry Mansion - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Langhorne Slim is a name folks tend to remember. Same goes with his music - you hear it and the impression it leaves makes you want to come back for another listen. Seeing him live is no different - he has the chops, showmanship, and wit to keep audiences completely engaged and his backing band the War Eagles help push that electric energy even further. Reminiscent of old delta blues and vaudeville performers, he's telling a story and you want to be there for the ending. The eponymous record is the exact one to help take a name that's been bubbling under for a few years now and expose it to a much larger audience.

Lost At Last Vol. 1, is a record that he wanted to do differently from the start. The songs challenge the idea of social rigidity the attitude that there's a InchcorrectInch way for us to live and a side we should be on. He urges the world to see through the idea that by following that path and focusing only on fitting the mold, one will have lived a good life. He re-interprets the sound of the free-spirited yet vulnerable everyman heard on 2015's The Spirit Moves and brings forth anew the call for us to abandon Inchthe foldInch and re-connect with ourselves and each other.
