One of the most prolific arrangers for dance orchestras, jazz trumpeter Larry Clinton wrote charts for many of the biggest bandleaders including Tommy Dorsey, Jimmy Dorsey, Glen Gray, Louis Armstrong, and Bunny Berigan. As a bandleader he became famous for his swing adaptations of classical compositions, and pretty soon orchestras everywhere were Inchswinging the classicsInch.
