Jalyn Records is back! The Dayton, Ohio tag from the creative mind of bluegrass legend Jack Lynch originally ran from the early '60s through the late '70s. Working out of his apartment on Brown Street, Lynch turned out a steady run of hard-driving bluegrass, country, and gospel sides cut by local pickers and big names alike, including Ralph Stanley and Don Reno. Decades on, these records are now lovingly remastered for modern ears and available on CD for the first time. True to their name, here The Echoes of Faith let every note resound with devotion and grace. These gospel songs call the spirit higher, carrying the listener closer to the promise of the Lord.

Motion I is the debut album from Out Of/Into, the collective formerly known as The Blue Note Quintet, featuring pianist Gerald Clayton, alto saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins, vibraphonist Joel Ross, drummer Kendrick Scott, and bassist Matt Brewer. The band was formed in celebration of Blue Note Records' 85th Anniversary and embarked on an extensive U.S. tour in 2024 during which they honed a distinctive, progressive sound that is the perfect embodiment of the Blue Note ethos. InchBlue Note has been such a wonderful home for the community, for incredible musicians, for creativity, for all these years,Inch says Clayton. InchYou can't help but think about all those masters, all those heroes that you've grown up listening to. To get a chance to pay tribute and try to carry some of that essence forward is truly just an honor.Inch
