Ive had this device for quite a few months now. Here is what I like and dislike: Pros 1. Powerful Hardware Uses an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme, which gives it strong performance for a handheld. Because of that, it can handle a lot of modern games reasonably well. 2. High-Quality Display 8.8-inch screen with 144 Hz refresh rate. QHD / WQXGA resolution, which makes games look sharp. Touch support, which gives flexibility in how you interact. 3. Detachable Controllers The controllers can be detached, giving flexibility: handheld, tabletop, or even using the screen as a monitor with a kickstand. Right controller has a trackpad / “FPS mode” so you can simulate a mouse, which helps in certain games. 4. Good Build and Design Built-in kickstand helps for sitting back and playing without holding the whole thing. The speakers are pretty solid for a handheld. 5. Fast Charging Has “Super Rapid Charge” — you can hit ~70% in about 30 minutes per Windows Central testing. Two USB-C ports (top and bottom) let you charge while playing in different orientations. 6. Broad Game Compatibility Runs Windows, so you’re not limited to a storefront: you can play a wide variety of PC games. That said, Windows is a double-edged sword (see below). --- Cons 1. I know, I know...I'm a bit late to the party, but wow, the Legion Go is still one of the best handheld gaming devices out there to date, even in 2025. Lenovo has truly kept the experience alive and thriving. Legion Space has seen major improvements over the time and the consistent updates have proven that Lenovo listens to its players, keeping us locked in and ready to play the hottest triple a titles and new releases alike. The detachable controllers with FPS mode were ahead of their time, so much so that I believe its what inspired a feature seen in the Switch 2 today having the Switch 2 using the right side joycon as a mouse which is a definite game changer. Pair the Go with the Legion glasses, a quality headset, and you're basically holding a full console experience in your hands. Not into handheld gaming? No problem. Since it runs on Windows, you can dock it for a full desktop experience. How do you like those apples? wubba lubba dub dub! All in all, this was a highly anticipated release, and for good reason. Also, the placement of the start/pause button is quite frustrating – it's not where I'd intuitively expect it to be. Controller Quality and Layout: The detachable controllers feel somewhat cheap to me, lacking the solid feel I prefer. The layout of the back buttons and scroll wheel is also not ideal, causing some strain on my wrist during prolonged use. The device performs greatly and the screen is high quality, much clearer image than my LG monitors (due to OLED). Using upscaling you can get 60 fps in triple A titles like Black Ops 3 all the way up to Cyberpunk 2077 using low settings. Only flaw I have noticed is that the plastic connectors between the controllers and the screen seem to have slightly poor durability, eventually causing the controllers wobble a little during use.
