LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the most creative, well-paced, and fun LEGO game in years. Developer Traveler's Tales always displays a keen love and affection for its source material, but with this take on the most recent Star Wars movie, it tells an entertaining story that pays wonderful tribute to Episode VII through a slew of smart puzzles and unique characters. Unlike the disjointed storytelling in the disappointing LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, The Force Awakens uses dialogue from the film effectively. The story of Rey, Finn, and company follows the same path as the movie, while also throwing in a bunch of really clever gags and goofs. Whether you're wandering through the ruins of Maz Kanada’s castle, overhearing some weird creatures talk about where they’re going to drink next, and having one of them suggest his old watering hole on Tatooine will leave a big grin on your face. It even handles heavy events, like the death of a beloved character, with a solid dose of humor and charm. That is what a LEGO game should be like. The Deluxe Edition includes an outer box with a holographic cover, and within you get the game pack, plus the Season Pass DLC slip, the Empire Strikes Back DLC slip, and a physical LEGO Finn mini-figure!

This is another awesome Lego game with very familiar gameplay mechanics. Great graphics. And the deluxe edition bonus's are very nice, the season pass will keep our content fresh , and the Stormtrooper Finn Lego mini fig looks great in our collection !

The first time I reviewed this game was for the PS4 version of the game I bought for myself upon release. This time I'm reviewing the XBONE version because I bought it as a gift for a friend who owns an Xbox One. That's how much I love this game. Highly recommend this to any Star Wars fan and/or Lego fan. Especially if you like the Lego games. HOWEVER, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CONSOLE VERSIONS!! A small but notable one, that is. The PLAYSTATION versions get extra "exclusive" content. PlayStation versions get the Droid Characters pack DLC and the Phantom Limb level DLC. So if you own both consoles you'd do well to get the PlayStation version instead. Hope this review helps!

I've played all the Lego Star Wars games and Lego Marvel Super Heroes and I can safely say that if you liked those, you'll probably like this one as well. I certainly do, though since the game focuses on the repetitive and unoriginal plot of the Force Awakens movie, the levels suffer as a result. Let's just say that an entire level of exploring Maz Kanata's castle and another level of helping Leia clean up the Resistance base does not make for thrilling gameplay. Main story aside, the amount of SW characters, ships, and collectibles makes up for a lackluster campaign. The side missions are fun, the humor is of course on point and the game feels like a love letter to the source material without it feeling like cynical pandering *cough*like the movie*cough*. The deluxe edition's presentation is gorgeous, and the Finn lego figure inside is a nice treat. I'm glad I went for this edition. On the gameplay end, it's fun if you know what you're getting into. My game has frozen about 4 times though so idk if that's just my copy or if that's a more common thing. It's a good game but for me, it's not great.

This game is a lot of fun to play for Star Wars fans and Lego fans. There are many different characters to use in the game and there is always something new popping up.

I have several other Lego games that I have enjoyed with my wife Yeah this is a good game for kids but it's a cool way to squeeze in gaming & the premise of a date nite trust me this take-out you're set ! Same graphics per say which are really good not aiming & firing weapons, as well as multiple choices in building different objectives, breathes life into this franchise.Overall excellent game decent puzzles the 1 other thing I would say read each character unlike Marvel games which the superheroes are easy to say can do a puzzle Star Wars is a little more involved reading the description is a bonus .

The first thing we noticed were the graphics...they really stepped it up. The gameplay seemed a bit different, a bit more challenging in some aspects, which is great. Hoping that there aren't many bugs like many of their other games.

This game provides great humor, fantastic story line (goes along with the movie) , and intuitive gameplay.

This game does a spectacular job of adapting The Force Awakens. Every scene from the movie is represented in either a cutscene or a level. All the actors returned to reprise their roles. That means new lines from Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo Ren, Han Solo, Leah, and Captain Phasma. The only negative is the innitial load time is pretty long, and some of the bonus levels are kinda small. You also can't play free play in the hub worlds until you finish the game. All the new gameplay additions are fun, and the charcter annimations are fantastic. From Kylo Ren pulling an enemy in close to slash them up, to Palpatine doing his lunging spin move he uses in Revenge of the Sith. You can tell these guys are fans.

The gameplay is very solid. The deluxe edition with the action figure is good for anyone who is into collecting different items from different games

My kids and I have been playing the Lego Xbox games since they first came out and even now that they are older they still love them and we still play them together which is sometimes tough getting them to do things with me now that they are older but they still enjoy this and it's kind of a fun family game instead of them just killing zombies or enemy soldiers online with their friends. Lego/XBox does a great job of following the movies and also add a bunch of fun extras and challenges. We've done all the Star Wars ones and this one is great like the others. I highly recommend this Lego game and all the others we have played: Lego Harry Potter, Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego The Avengers, Lego Lord of the Rings, Lego Hobbit, Lego Movie, Lego Jurassic World. Buy all of them, they are all fun!!

This game is huge! It's going to take forever to complete. Story mode was fun and the open world hubs are challenging. There are nuggets of story added that are not part of the movie and most certainly fill in some story gaps. A must play game for all ages.

My 8 year old girl loves this game and has really enjoyed building everything and going through all the Star Wars stories. Graphics are great and it looks like something she will be able to play for a long time without getting bored.

well... at least not the console versions. Its Lego Star Wars the force Awakens, that's really all you should need to know. I highly recommend it for both children and adults alike. Its a game you can have fun playing with your kids.

I bought this for my family and think it has to be the best Lego game yet. Multiple builds, less bugs that we have seen out of all the other lego games. And best yet more story and dialog from the original cast of the force awakens.

Bought this for my son ad he loves it! Some of the puzzles are hard for him to solve, but I jump in and help. Also end up playing coop with him for hours, lol. Graphics are amazing and the original cast did the voices.
