180g Green Vinyl. 'Auckland chilled soul-electronic collective LEISURE unveil their exquisite 4th studio album LEISUREVISION. Written and produced over the past 2 years in their home country of New Zealand. The album navigates the human experience, and all the hope, joy, chaos and euphoria it entails, while displaying themes of growth, renewal, and rebirth, and embodying balance, peace and tranquillity. For their fifth studio album, 'Welcome to the Mood', Auckland's genre-defying sextet Leisure refines their soulful, slow-burning ethos into a radiant new chapter - one rooted in togetherness, creative freedom, and the lived experience of a band evolving with authentic purpose. They also embraced a more organic, live-recording approach on 'Welcome to the Mood'. The group explains, InchOff the back of touring the last album, we had played more shows than ever and wanted to bring more of the live element into the process, so we didn't use drum breaks and loops as much as previous records and tracked live.Inch They continued expanding their sound by bringing in specialist musicians - string sections, brass, pianos, and backing vocalists - pushing the sonic possibilities beyond their individual skill sets. Yet at it's core, the album remains deeply personal. Written in remote hideaways, the songs carry the tranquility of escape while capturing a newfound confidence in emotional vulnerability. Thematically, 'Welcome to the Mood' is a rich sonic auditory tapestry woven with threads of authenticity, humanity, and creative celebration. Lyrically, the album explores universal experiences - love, loss, connection, hope, and purpose -drawn from the everyday yet rendered in Leisure's distinct palette of rich tones and laid-back groove. Tracks are anchored in realness but elevated by a sonic landscape that feels simultaneously nostalgic and futuristic, mirroring the ethos of Frank Lloyd Wright, whose Taliesin West provided literal and symbolic inspiration during the album's visual journey. Album Tracks 1. Side A 2. Welcome to the Mood 3. Sundown 4. Diamonds 5. Missing You 6. The Colour of the Sound 7. Side B 8. Dominoes 9. Beach House 10. Tenderness 11. Desert Moon Sky 12. Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression. This LP version comes pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Album Tracks 1. My Own Summer (Shove It) 2. Lhabia 3. Mascara 4. Around the Fur 5. Rickets 6. Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away) 7. Lotion 8.
