A: Hi Gabs, This configuration of Legion 7i 16 is part of the model's 10th generation series. Also, it features a 5.0MP camera + IR to login with facial recognition using Windows Hello. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
Q: Can you upgrade the ram in this laptop?
A: I was able to upgrade this laptop with 64GB - 2x32GB 5600 Fury modules.
A: Hey Carlos, The Legion 7i (16", 10th gen) features one open M.2 2280 PCIe® 4.0 x4 slot and you can upgrade the existing 1TB SSD. We cannot advocate for GPU modifications, and we appreciate your comment regarding device configurations. This will be considered for the future. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
A: I watched some YouTube videos that showed you how to download a program to check the temperatures. If it's no longer normal, you can return it. I did have to return one because of a freeze issue. I assume it was also due to temperature issues, perhaps a manufacturing issue with the ventilation. I have this new one, and I haven't had those issues in high-performance mode for games; it gets normally hot.
Q: Does this have firmware TPM or dedicated TPM chip?
A: Hey Carlos, This Legion 7i is Firmware TPM 2.0 Enabled. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
A: Hi andyjiang1uci2029, The RTX 5070 in this Legion 7i features 8GB GDDR7 memory with the system supporting adjustable system VRAM. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
A: Hey Ricardo, We're sorry to hear that this is the case for you. There are several RTX 50 series GPU users who have shared that this issue has affected their system after recent NVIDIA graphics driver updates. While we work on the back end with NVIDIA to discover the root of the issue and provide long-term resolution, we recommend trying fixes that other users have like rolling back driver updates and manually selecting the GPU in use within gaming settings to name a couple. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!
Q: Can I upgrade the RAM of this laptop to 2x 64? or keep the 32 and add a second of 64?
A: Hey Ana, Yes, but since the system ships with 2x 16GB memory modules preinstalled, if you wish to upgrade to 64 (DDR5-5600, SODIMM), you'd have to take out the sticks it ships with and put in 2x 32GB sticks. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!

I’ve been using the Lenovo Legion 7i 16” (2025) with the Core Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 5070, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD for a short time now, and overall I’m very happy with it. Performance is excellent. Everything feels fast and smooth, and gaming performance is exactly what I expected from this hardware. I’ve been playing Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and while the fans do get loud under load, I actually like that sound—it feels reassuring and shows the cooling system is doing its job. The display is beautiful. The 2.5K OLED panel looks amazing with deep blacks, vibrant colors, and great brightness. The keyboard is also very good—comfortable to type on and well-suited for both work and gaming. Build quality feels premium, and the Glacier White color looks great in person. A few downsides: Battery life is not great, especially compared to my previous MacBook Air. This is expected for a high-performance gaming laptop, but it’s worth noting. The inbuilt sound is disappointing. I wish it had a built-in LAN (Ethernet) port. Having to rely on a dongle is a bit inconvenient. That said, these are minor compromises for a laptop with this level of performance. Considering the discount I got, this feels like an excellent deal, and overall I think it’s an outstanding laptop for the price. Highly recommended if you want strong performance, a great display, and premium build quality.

I purchased this laptop to replace my desktop that couldn’t upgrade to windows 11. The performance of this machine is absolutely night and day. I game, stream, and edit videos as some of my heavier tasks and my desktop was able to run these programs okay. They had to be on the lowest settings possible to run smoothly. With this laptop, everything is running on Highest settings and flawlessly at that. My biggest games are Overwatch 2, Anno 1800, and Hoyoverse titles. After some adjustments in the system settings (making sure the games were running on the dGPU instead of hybrid, etc) every title is running perfectly. You can set up and be playing in minutes. The OLED display is beautiful. It’s capable of HDR but I honestly prefer the OLED for gaming. It has a decent battery life. I don’t game while unplugged but while I’m unplugged just browsing or using discord, it lasts plenty long enough for me. I have not fully tested this yet however. I was upgrading from a GTX 1060, and I can tell the difference drastically. In FPS games, suddenly it makes sense how other people could use snipers and I couldn’t. The frames are just that much smoother, that much easier to work with. I was nervous to drop this kind of money on a laptop with how much gripe they get, but I have zero regrets. This thing is better than my desktop ever was, even 6 years ago. I have yet to run into an issue it can’t handle. It’s lighter than I thought it’d be too. Maybe slightly heavier than my old MacBook Pro? But not enough to be noticeable by any means. I am very pleased with this purchase and if you’re also on the fence about a laptop in this price range, I say go for it.

I recommend it, it has great capacity to run heavy programs, it supports, works with fluids, but if you want it not to heat up and work better, use it while it is connected to the electricity because it discharges a little faster, I recommend it for those who work in places where you can connect it, of course it lasts without being connected to the electricity but it would last around 2 or 3 hours maximum, I recommend it 100%. for office work or similar, the image, the fluidity and quick reaction of the keyboards and how impressive it doesn't heat up compared to other computers when you put it at 70% of its capacity, I recommend it for 3D work, heavy games, for programming, editing photos and videos, the only thing you have to look at is the battery, but for the rest. I have no complaints, this fulfills what I want .
