Bought it Open box for $959.99 and I'm loving it. Excellent laptop. After 1 month of using it 12+ hours a day there's a couple things you should consider before buying... PROS: +DISPLAY is 2.5k and 240hz, fast, amazing color, MATTE is so important for long gaming hours so your eyes don't hurt when gaming all day. No burn-in risk. +1TB SSD. +It's FAST, not super fast but fast enough and I love the Ryzen 9HX makes everything very smooth. +Handles THERMALS like a CHARM. +Keyboard is beautiful and soft and feels amazing. +Software is a Plus, doesn't give you a headache or hard time at all. Plus there's a lot of room for customization available. +It's a LEGION ! CONS: -Display ips as usual may have some "bright darkness" when playing dark videogames or movies, specially around the corners. (But handles blacks way better than standard IPS monitors, really good I would say, but not as good as Oled of course). -16gb ram will give you micro stutters when switching big scenes in videogames. (Fixed by capping AAA games at 60fps or less.. Competitives like Black Ops 2 won't stutter at more than 150fps and 240hz, it's all about settings). -Fingerprint magnet and gets oily very easily. -When gaming the NVIDIA graphics card "connects" and the Auto-HDR is turned on, it makes content look yellowish, but can be easily fixed in settings. -The pre installed SSD is quite slow, makes game installation and data transfer take longer than it should for this laptops actual speed (took 25 minutes to install Rdr2) -WORST I could say about the laptop is that I bought this OPEN BOX. there's a crack sound when I open the lid and when I close it, that shouldn't be normal... Of course this could just be an issue with the laptop itself rather than an Open Box problem but it's still adviced that you select your purchase for in store pick up, or check the laptop asap if delivered so this issue doesn't happen to you as well. Other than that the laptop runs perfectly fine. NEUTRAL: It's a gaming laptop, don't expect battery life to be amazing, but this is totally normal. Could also feel a little heavy, not like a tank but it's not super portable. Again this is normal. MY ADVICE: If you want a laptop that won't hurt for eyes and won't give you a hard time in general when playing games all day, runs at great 2.5k and High Graphics, keeps good and cool temps, feels really nice overall and runs everything in a great manner, and you find it discounted BUY IT !!! Otherwise if you need OLED (even if it might get burn in overtime or hurt your eyes when using it for long periods of time) or want to get a better graphics card for ULTRA settings on AAA games, skip this and get something a bit more powerful like a 5070ti and 32gb ram. (This laptop runs Alan Wake 2 and Resident Evil 9 at High Settings, 2560x1600 and +100fps). MY CHOICE: You could upgrade the ram later (if you are rich) but I wouldn't personally spend money on doing any upgrades to this laptop except for more SSD storage. If I was going to spend money on more ram I would spend money on a better graphics card as well. Although this laptop seems to have what it takes to bypass the common long term issues other laptops with better specs might have, making it a trustworthy tank. The laptop is perfect for me as it is and a beast for a Mid-range gaming laptop. Looks and feels like a long lasting reliable machine.

Very happy with this machine. I added an additional 16GB of DDR5 (before prices went crazy) and a 2nd NVME SSD for gaming. So far for all the games I play this does a great job. Well built, bright screen, nice keyboard with numpad. Fast CPU and the NVIDIA 5060 really helps gaming performance. I've never had a screen with this high of a refresh before, but it sure seems smooth. Be sure to enable it in Windows 11, by default its stuck at 60hz instead of 240hz. The battery life isn't that great, but this isn't really a productivity machine. It's not bad, but if you really want crazy battery life buy a mac I guess.

Runs even faster than I thought, fans are not very loud. Screen and refresh rate are great. Can run heavy Minecraft shaders and intensive texture packs at a consistent 110+ frames. It can run CS2 at a solid 90 at 1440p. Better than my desktop and wasn’t even expecting that. Battery life is short but wasn’t expecting it to be long, nor do I play without plugging it in and I’m not factoring it into my rating.

The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (now branded as the Legion Pro 5) remains one of the most highly recommended mid-range gaming laptops. It offers a stellar balance of premium build quality, robust cooling, and top-tier gaming performance without an ultra-premium price tag.

I haven't experienced any lag while doing anything. Was very well protected in the box and had no scratches or defects. Fan is only loud when gaming which is normal. When I do my college assignments it is completely silent. Battery life is about 2 hours for normal tasks, but I always have it plugged in anyways. I don't plan on using it outside of the house considering how expensive it is. Amazing cpu and gpu, but you probably already knew that.

This laptop i got during cyber monday at $1100 it was an amazing purchase. It runs most games flawlessly and i can do all my schoolwork on it. Its batterly life is poor but thats to be expected with a gaming laptop. My only complaint would be its weight as it can get uncomfortable on your lap after a while. It has good screen quality although i wish colors popped just a little bit more. This is probably as good as it gets for a mid-range gaming laptop for the price i bought it at. It is a solid 9/10 gaming laptop

Great performance for everyday work and gaming. The laptop is fast, responsive, and handles multitasking without any issues. Build quality feels solid, the screen looks good, and overall it offers excellent value for the price. Very satisfied with the purchase and would definitely recommend it.

8.5/ 10 for a more accurate scoring. Great laptop. Quick, fast, and can run most if not all. Wish I got as 2TB and 32GB RAM. Other than that it's a very solid build.

I picked this laptop mostly because it did DisplayPort over USB-C with the graphics card, but honestly the aesthetics are great. It doesn't feel like it's super gamery and obnoxious, and it has plenty of power, though I feel this model doesn't need a 240hz screen, as a 5060 wouldn't probably take advantage of that. Ultimately I returned this for the 5070ti model to get some more performance in specific games. My "new" one is the same size and feel as this, which is fantastic.

I bought this for my brother amd he love it even though he not using it as a gaming laptop he’s using it for editing purpose because he works for the editing company so far he’s very happy from this buy

I’m extremely happy with my Lenovo Legion Pro 5. The keyboard feels incredible — super comfortable, responsive, and perfect for long work sessions. The screen is on another level; the clarity and brightness make everything look stunning, and it’s been amazing for my AI projects. Performance-wise, it handles all my AI tools smoothly and efficiently. It absolutely meets the expectations I had for a powerful workstation. In the future, I plan to upgrade the RAM to 32GB to push it even further, but even with the current configuration, it works wonderfully. Overall, I’m very grateful and truly satisfied with my purchase. Totally recommended

Beautiful laptop. I bought open box for a great price. After a windows update it’s given an issue that I really cannot fix. It shuts down when the power cable is connected. I’ve done a fresh install and have the same issue. I see someone else having a similar issue ( the guy in Brazil). Before tho e update the laptop was a beast playing call of duty.

It’s nice took a lot of tweaking to get 240fps on games but for 850 you can’t beat that

I bought this laptop as a Christmas gift for my brother who lives in Brazil. My brother-in-law, who was here on vacation, took it to Brazil for him. But when my brother turned it on, the screen simply didn’t work. What was supposed to be a Christmas gift has become my worst nightmare because no one I know can bring it back. There’s no support in Brazil, and sending it back here would be insanely expensive. I even called support, and they told me there’s nothing they can do to help. How can a brand-new laptop not work? Now I’m completely stuck with a $1,300 laptop that’s broken in Brazil and no solution

This laptop has a lot going for it. In terms of performance, it is an absolute powerhouse. However, for my needs, it did not quite work out. The battery life on this laptop is horrible. I knew it would not be good but the processor they chose is desktop-level. I was also comparing this to a legion 5 with the AMD Ryzen 7 260 version and this laptop got noticeably louder with fan speeds than the Ryzen 7 260 version. These things many not bother most people using a gaming laptop, but I need something more portable and this was not quite it for me. However, if you are looking for something with fantastic performance, a beautiful screen, and actually light for what it is; than this is good for your. However, if you need the battery to last longer than 3-4 hours for basic computer stuff and you don't want your fans to run so loud you get looks at the coffee shop, I would look elsewhere.

I bought this Legion Pro gaming laptop as a gift for my son and it’s been a huge hit. It runs games smoothly, looks amazing, and handles everything he throws at it without slowing down. The build feels solid and it stays surprisingly cool even during long gaming sessions. He absolutely loves it, and I’m really happy with the quality for the price. Great gift and totally worth it.

I’m very happy with this laptop. The Ryzen 9 processor and RTX 5060 handle gaming and multitasking extremely well, and everything runs fast and smoothly. The 2.5K display looks sharp and vibrant, and the 16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD are plenty for gaming and everyday use. The build quality feels solid and premium as well. Overall, this is a powerful laptop with great performance for the price. Highly recommended!
