The Lenovo ThinkPad L13 laptop is an amazing device that goes beyond what you'd expect. It's slim, lightweight, and easy to carry around. The screen is bright and clear, making everything look really good.

The pictures show a sim card tray and a functional smart card reader but there is not. Sim card tray does not eject and the smart card reader is blocked off.

Hello, Miguel. We are sorry to hear that your ThinkPad has fallen short of your expectations. This model's images and description do not reflect a SIM card tray and the smart card reader is not a feature on this model ThinkPad. It's a Thinkpad. As far as Windows PCs go, fewer have the reputation as these do. There's good reason why they have the geek following that they do. I've always been a fan of the physical touchpad buttons, and this one is no exception. I still like the middle nipple, there are definitely ways it works well. Even with a touchpad, and touchscreen, a third option on the device is nice. I wish the middle touch button could open webpages on a new tab like the scroll wheel on most physical mouses, but that's me nitpicking. Since the links to 'official' reviews suck, (one is for gen 2, one is for gen 1) here is the rundown-12th gen i5 processors are very capable. 8gbs of RAM are plenty for day to day tasks. Compared to the older gen 2 the overall chassis is smaller. It's nice because HP makes 13in laptops, but their casing is not different from their 14in models. I have a smaller sling bag, so I want something I can carry without worrying about breaking the corners. The display has been changed to a 16:10 ratio, which is nice compared the older 16:9. It makes reading/web browsing in tablet mode easier. It also means the chin at the bottom of the screen smaller. Every laptop review site wants smaller bezels on touchscreen laptops-I'm not the biggest fan. This thinkpad is nice as it hits the sweet spot of being able to pick it up in tablet mode and not accidently closing out of a web browser while still having small enough bezels. Speaking of which, the laptop is lighter by almost half a pound compared to its predecessor. Using it as a tablet is not bad at all. Overall it's a nice laptop and a nice tablet. Unfortunately, there are a list of unfortunatelys. In tablet mode, there is no on button. If the laptop falls asleep, you have to reorient it into laptop mode to turn it back on. I wish a tap to wake mode was implanted on the screen, or there was a side power button like the older version. Speaking of which, the fingerprint reader on my version was very hit or miss. It's also a power button only. If the laptop is in sleepmode, and you want to wake it, you have to hit the space bar first. It's annoying since you have to touch the fingerprint scanner to get back into windows anyways. It's a problem because it falls a sleep quickly. Also unfortunately, you don't want to change those settings becasue the battery on my unit was terrible. I got 4-5 hours max. It's not a gaming laptop by any stretch. That time is way too short. I picked this unit up as a travel companion, to fill in for my main heavier laptop on the road. The 60w brick being heavy did me no favors. I also don't want a travel laptop I have to hunt down an outlet for too often. So there it is. Near a wall, this computer is nice. It comes with the pen, which works well. It's tiny, but it works. It's nicer than most, albeit thin. The keyboard is nice and travel is nice. It is spill proof, which is also nice. It's built like a tank. It also guzzles gas like a tank. (meaning battery life sucked) great display, great speakers. Nothing to write home about, but if you needed to, this laptop would work- an e-mail, word processing, office/school work and web browsing. All great. It is after all, a Thinkpad.

This is a great computer, user friendly in all ways, and it's my second ThinkPad. A reliable, total workhorse. Sadly it's only hampered by the many Microsoft battery-eating programs running in the background. A change to Linux and open source programs might be in my laptops future. I'm just not getting the battery life that was advertised, so it loses a star.

For an inexpensive work laptop, this is a decent option. I've been using it now for two years with ALMOST no issues. The only issue is that one of the hinges broke. This seems to be a common issue. When I brought the laptop in to BestBuy, they suggested buying a new laptop because it would be several hundred dollars to repair!

Got this for work and it’s been very dependable. The keyboard is excellent (as expected from ThinkPads) and the build quality feels solid. I like the 2-in-1 hinge because sometimes I flip it into tablet mode for reading or presentations. Screen looks sharp and battery life has been decent. Not the flashiest laptop but it’s very practical.

I returned this. I knew the screen was FHD equivalent (16:10) v.s. say 2k or 4k. That's fine, I've had other fhd laptops. But there was just something about the display - hard to put by finger on - that kinda bothered me. Like it makes it a bit hard to look at at times / tiring. I ended up returning it solely for that reason. Battery life was nothing to write home about.

So far so good. I really like that they made the touch pad a little bit larger. The only negative thing is I feel the touch pad has just a little too much spring action to it. I bought my wife last years version of this and the touch pad on hers, while smaller, has a lot less spring play when you push down on it (like when you are highlighting or moving email to another folder).

Great laptop! Have had it a year and it still performs like the day out of the box. Touch screen, pen, everything works great!

Great computer! I bought it for college because it was the ones we used in high cool. Fast, easy to use, and very sturdy.

The computer is fine but Chris from the Easttown Mall BestBuy location was exceptional. He took the time to hear my needs, sift through all my available options, and then help me get just what I needed. No offense BestBuy but this experience was not the norm from my experience. Chris is likely just a quality professional/good person and, props to BestBuy for hiring such a quality employee. The computer is working out just as I had hoped and that often happens when salespeople take the time to listen and care. Thank you Chris!

Excellent lightweight laptop. Use primarily for stock trading and financial websites. Beautiful graphics, and excellent keyboard. I would recommend this as a wonderfully built 2-1 laptop.
