Based on test results with current Lenovo offerings, a 1TB M.2242 SSD is the max storage size that is certified to be supported; however, up to 4TB, a single-sided M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 drive should work with the system. With fan noise, this is designed to be very minimal for the user with the Core Ultra 5 series 2 processor, running cooler and more efficient. However, should fan noise ever be a priority for you, like during a meeting for example, by pressing the Fn + Q keys simultaneously you can change the thermal profile for the system to make sure no one is disturbed.
