OK, but does it really need an app?
These were on sale, and they work fine. My one criticism is that you need the app just to turn them on initially, and it wants you to speak into it to set the lights. Too clever by half. Once you fight through creating and account and adding a password, etc., they work equally as well as lights that come on when you plug them in.
