Q: does this switch work with google home and smartthjng
A: It can - that depends on the z-wave hub you are using to connect the switch rather than the switch itself
A: Technically it does, however, I also have a home that was built in the early 90s, and a number of my switch boxes did not have a neutral wire. There's a workaround for that - use a short wire and hook up the ground connection to the neutral connection, and connect the ground to the ground wire (which you should have). It's a workaround and I doubt it's supported, but I did it and it works without issue.
