This is a basic unit where only the compressor will cycle off when it reaches its set temperature. The fan does not cycle off, and it will continue running non-stop to ensure consistent airflow and to prevent the internal temperature sensor from misreading the room's ambient air. We are unaware of any reported circuit board issues for this unit. Several factors can cause a portable air conditioner's printed circuit board (PCB) to fail. The most common culprit is overheating, which is often caused by clogged air filters that restrict airflow and force the unit to work harder. Lightning strikes or sudden power grid spikes can instantly fry delicate board components like capacitors or resistors.
