Very effective keeping a studio apartment comfortable even in a heat wave. It's been said that for 250 sq ft 9 ft high ceilings it should be 8000 btu but 6000 btu has been keeping it comfortable. This is despite the fact that yes it does draw in and creat "negative pressure". It should be helpful to make sure to block gaps around apartment door to prevent outside air,but in a 100+ old building it isn't possible to make a hermetical seal. So I'm sleeping very comfortably at 75-78 setting. I should add that it was delivered very fast, 1½ days, on time and in good condition by FedEx.

The unit is very adequate for cooling regular and small sized rooms. Associated hardware for window installation lacking as compared to LG's higher powered units.

Hello there, Marv. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your inquiry regarding the installation hardware for your LG - 250 Sq. Ft. Portable Air Conditioner 6,000 BTU.
We understand your feedback comparing the window installation kit of this model to our higher-powered units. To ensure the best performance and a secure fit, we recommend checking that the window vent panel is fully extended and that the security screws are tightened according to the installation manual to minimize any gaps. Your feedback is important, and we'd like to assist you further.
