Q: Are the sides of the refrigerator magnetic (stainless steel or otherwise)?
A: Hi chuppecat. The sides for the ENERGY STAR® LG 29 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator with Slim Design Water Dispenser, Model # LRMWS2906S are not Stainless Steel and they are magnetic...^Ivan
Q: I’ve had my fridge for a couple weeks. Why is the water still tasting like plastic?
A: Hello there Cho. A couple things to check here. If you recently replaced your water line, it may transfer an unfamiliar odor or taste to the water or ice. Different types of water lines can impart different odors and tastes, such as plastic, rubber, greasy, mint, or even chemical. Try dispensing 2 gallons of water to flush the line, then taste the water again. On new installations. It is necessary to flush out the first 2 gallons of water and dispose the first 2 bins of ice. This will allow any debris in the lines to be cleared out and enable the filter to fully engage. Also, If the tap water in the home has impurities that require removal prior to consumption, a water purifying system will be required. The water filter is only capable of improving the quality of already drinkable tap water. ^Jai.
Q: Is this counterproductive depth refrigerator
A: This is NOT counter depth. You would have to get a much smaller refrigerator. I had a counter depth and hated it. Way too small.
Q: Are both freezer doors lighted with an LED light?
A: No, the bottom one is not lit. I wish it was.
Q: which drawer is the ice maker in? The top or bottom freezer drawer?
A: Top freezer
Q: Ice maker is in the freezer, but what is the ice storage capacity?
A: Hi, it is 4.0 lbs.^Venette
Q: How large is the freezer part, and how large is the fridge part?
A: How large the freezer compartment and the refrigerator compartment for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 29 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator with Slim Design Water Dispenser, Model # LRMWS2906S is only expressed as cubic feet. The Freezer compartment has a capacity of 9.2 cu.ft. and the refrigerator compartment has a capacity of 19.4 cu.ft...^Ivan

Customers are satisfied with the refrigerator's large capacity, overall performance, excellent design, and quiet operation. Many appreciate the spaciousness of the refrigerator area. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the water dispenser, temperature control, and door seal. Specifically, the water dispenser stops when the other door is opened.

Pros: -Fabulous size -Large door bins that *can* hold two gallons side by side (potentially 8 gallons)— 2 very large door bins on each side, so 4 total. Door bins will fit so many jars and condiments! -Great, functional layout with ice in bottom without a dispenser taking up space. -Bright inside -Build quality seems solid -Gray sides -Drawers self close when given a quick push -Easy for children to get ice out of drawer… we have had a lot less ice spills and waste than with an in-door ice dispenser. -Love, love, love that there is no 2 layer water dispenser tray to collect water that will then sit and get funky. Finally! However this design has significant drawbacks— see below. Maybe manufacturers could take this idea and improve it. -Ice plus option definitely kicks the compressor on to get colder air to the freezer. -Freezer works great. Seems great, right? Cons: -No adjustable shelf inside for taller items (although we have all of our taller items in the doors) -No turbo chill option -Opening doors significantly raises fridge temp -Cannot access produce or fruit drawers beyond a few inches without propping open the other fridge door. -Cannot access deli drawer at all without fully opening both doors. Why doesnt the deli drawer’s top cover lift up so you can reach in??? Drawer *has* to roll out for access. -Water dispenser stops when the other door is opened. -Water dispenser dispenses water so hard and fast that if you’re trying to top off something with a little water, it’s apt to splash back. -Water dispenser like this would be awful for an elderly person struggling cognitively because you have to pay close attention to line up your cup just right or you and the floor will get soaked with water quickly. -The taste of the ice and water is noticeable now— and not good . We have community water that is treated wirh chlorine. Our previous frigidaire fridge had water that had no taste at all. We can now taste chlorine. I can live with these things and was going to workaround the filter by trying an aftermarket one. I read a lot of bad things about LG’s linear compressor but liked the features and size of this fridge for the price to bite anyway. -The ice maker is pretty slow… it keeps up to average daily use (at home in a glass) for 4 children and 1 adult. We have a huge, wonderful icemaker in our 14 yr old backup fridge that the other spouse uses daily and we also use to fill up our hydroflask bottles and cooler. Unfortunately I dont think many, if any, modern fridges have great ice making capabilities. -BUT the absolute DEALBREAKER: ******It will not cool to safe temps****** We have used both a refrigerator thermometer that we have moved around and a bluetooth probe thermometer inside a cup of water that we moved around every 6 hours. We have the fridge set as low as it will go, 33 degrees. After it has sat all night undisturbed, it may reach 39 on the upper shelf. Most of the time it is 40 at the coolest even on the top shelf (which stays the coldest because the cold air comes down from the top) which gives no wiggle room for safety. The lower door bin where I put the milk for my children to reach is 42-44 degrees all day!!!! Milk doesn’t even taste good at 40, much less higher, and of course spoilage is a huge concern. The bottom shelf also is frequently at 42 degrees. Unacceptable. I believe it might be a design flaw, so we are returning this while we can and not bothering with “repair.” It has great potential, but if it can’t do it’s most essential function, it’s a total flop and not worth 2 grand. Best Buy has been great. I had been dreaming of a roomy french door refrigerator for years. I will try again, but not with this brand or S-G. Will probably have to spend significantly more.

Absolutely impressive unit, plenty of storage, great cooling, excellent freezer seal as well. Biggest draw would be the speed of the ice maker which is relatively slow. Easy to do upkeep on the unit and maintain the beautiful exterior of the product. Setting it up was simple and it was packed extremely well to avoid drawers, shelves, and anything else from moving when it shouldn't. I love how well this thing performs.

PROS; it is very quiet and has plenty of room for our needs. We love its design and like the water dispenser on the front without the ice maker, reason why we chose this model, knowing that ice makers models have more trouble on the long run. Would like the internal ice maker make ice faster. I activated the ICE PLUS function that supposes to make ice faster but I did not see the difference compared without it. It takes more than 24 hours to fill out the ice pan that came in it, likely 48 hours and this is the reason I did not give it five stars. CONS: None so far; I will do another review after six months
