I was excited for my LG SG10TY soundbar to arrive given its sleek design and seemingly solid specs so that I could replace an aging LG soundbar that I currently have installed. To begin with, and I am not sure if this is the norm with this product, it was shipped on a pallet via a freight company which can cause a few issues when it comes to the delivery aspect. Once I received the package everything was safely packed within a single large box, soundbar & the included subwoofer, which can be convenient. Upon unpacking everything it appeared that this would be a fairly straightforward installation, which it was given the clear & concise instructions. I was aware from the beginning that this soundbar was intended to be wall mounted, and wall mounted only apparently, but was curious to see if this was true and whether it could just sit on top of furniture vs attached to the wall. After looking things over and given the way the unit was designed I think it does need to be mounted vertically so that the speakers are facing outwards rather than upwards towards the cieling if it were to sit on something. I was fine with this type of install and preferred it to be this way and it with the provided brackets is fairly easy to install. Once installed I proceeded to begin installing the connections to my Apple TV & LG OLED TV which is also very straightforward. There are various options available to make a number of different wiring setups whether wired or wireless such as bluetooth. Upon finishing the connections I came upon my single largest negative which is a large power block that literally ruins what would otherwise be an immaculate installation which was supposed to be the LARGEST SELLING POINT of this particular soundbar. I understand why this could not have been built into the bar given the relative thinness but why there was not more thought put into this is beyond me. The simplest way to have avoided this would have been to make the cord from the power block to the bar about 6+ feet longer so that you have the option to locate it in an inconspicuous place somewhere farther away. I may be bothered by this more than most other people but it really is something that distracts from what could have been a really great design. Once I moved past this I downloaded the app which is something else that I have grown soo tired of. Why does EVERYTHING need its own app, its own account login, its own wifi connection etc. Now that everything had been set up it was time to finally hear the results. The Dolby 3.1 surround sound simply popped and filled my living room and then once I remembered to plug in the subwoofer it provided that intricate amount of bass to blend everything smoothly together. Being pleased with the results I then tried the WOW function where the bar pairs with certain LG TV's internal speakers and when this occured I was pleasently surprised with the overall sound field that was produced. I will not list all of the inputs/outputs as that can be found easily online but I will say in closing that I would recomment this soundbar as long as the particulars of this model fit your specific setup.

This SG10TY LG soundbar comes in a large box, which is good it will protect the equipment well. Upon unboxing, you’ll find the soundbar, subwoofer, and a smaller box neatly packaged containing all the necessary peripherals to setup the system. The rest of the box is filled with empty cardboard, roughly the size of two additional subwoofers. The soundbar itself is very well constructed. It looks nice and super slim. The subwoofer is also well made and is light. Setting up the soundbar was straightforward. The package includes a quick installation guide and a wall mount installation guide. The quick guide features a QR code to download the LG Soundbar app, available for Android and iOS. However, during the setup, I received a message indicating that the app was no longer supported and recommending the LG ThinQ app instead. While slightly inconvenient, it wasn’t a major issue. The LG ThinQ app proved to be user friendly and guided me through the connection process effectively. When connected to my LG OLED 77B3 TV, the soundbar was immediately recognized as an LG device, and the system optimized the sound for WOW Orchestra. This was a nice touch. I also set up the AI Room Calibration feature, which was simple, just click "start," and the system calibrates itself. Before finalizing, it lets you hear a sample of the sound before and after calibration, though I didn’t notice a significant difference. Playing music on the soundbar was a decent experience for its slim design. The TV displays a banner whenever Dolby Atmos is enabled, making it clear when this feature is active. Music in Dolby Atmos felt immersive, while non-Atmos content sounded good for an entry-level soundbar. Watching movies on the soundbar was a noticeable improvement compared to the TV's built-in speakers. Movies in Dolby Atmos were far more immersive than in standard audio formats. One downside is the lack of availability for rear surround sound speakers. If you want to expand the sound with the wireless rear speakers (SPT-8 S) they are hard to come by, not even Best Buy carries them. This limitation is frustrating for those looking to enhance their setup. The subwoofer, which pairs automatically with the soundbar, is lightweight but delivers noticeable bass when needed. Also the soundbar seems designed for wall mounting to achieve optimal sound quality. Although it can also be placed on a shelf it doesn’t include the stand in the packaging, it only comes with the wall mounting bracket. Overall, this is a solid entry-level soundbar that integrates seamlessly with LG TVs. While it has some limitations, such as hard to find rear speakers and a stand for shelf mounting, it provides good value and an immersive audio experience. In the box you get the soundbar, subwoofer, remote, wall mounts and installation kit, HDMI cable, 2 AA batteries, power cables and quick guides.

I was in need of replacing one of my soundbars and came across the LG .1 Channel SG10TY Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer. I have owned and still own excellent LG products, including an old surround sound system which to this day is one of my favorites. So when I got the HUGE box (about the length of a bed), I was very excited. Unboxing was easy, the sound bar and subwoofer were neatly packaged as well as the mounting hardware, power supplies and the remote. If you were ticked off by the mounting hardware part: Yes, it is meant to be installed against a wall. It's actually the best way to enjoy the full sound scape of this baby. Installing the mounting pads onto the wall was very simple and I appreciated the template for the holes. Note that you should make sure to plug all the cables in *before* hanging up the soundbar. the cables are elegantly directed through the back of the soundbar leading to a very neat cable management. Once attached to the ARC port, it barely took more than 5 minutes to have everything intertwined to lead the sound through to the soundbar. You can use the remote provided (it does come with batteries), a smartphone or a Roku remote (for example) to control the settings. There are many different input ports, including Optical (SPDIF), HDMI, USB, aso. LG has done a really great job in terms of flexibility and inter-connectivity. As a starting point I picked my usual, which is a connection through the ARC Compatible HDMI port on my TV. The connection was almost instantaneous, I didn't even have to pair the subwoofer, it paired itself to the soundbar. Minimum effort for me means less time wasted trying to make things "work". Again, LG did an amazing job. I ran my usual battery of tests with the results below: Movies - Excellent rendition of the sound scapes, dialogues are clear and audible without having to increase the volume to ridiculous levels. Soundtracks sound mighty and powerful. Very immersive. Music - Very pleasant for listening to music, it's not the peak of perfection, actually it lacks in certain frequencies (especially some mid-highs and a lot of lower frequencies). Still, very good. POD Casts/Radio - Excellent. There seems to be a component which enhances vocals and dialogue built into the device. TV - The quality is consistent with the movies I watched on this soundbar. To summarize, this 3.1 LG soundbar is very, very good. Not quite the best I've ever owned, but that's a completely different price range. In its own range, it sure can compete with the heavy hitters. The subwoofer is the only flaw as it simply can not produce round and thumping basses. I have toyed with the EQ and was able to salvage some frequencies but it sounds as if there is a gap between the lower range of the soundbar and the higher range of the subwoofer. This doesn't mean this is a bad soundbar, the opposite is true. It performs best with movies and TV, as it is its main purpose. I absolutely recommend the LG SG10TY Soundbar.

If you are interested in a sound system that sounds great, is low profile and mounts to the wall, this one may be perfect for you. I know it is perfect for me. I have been looking at different sound system options. My first thought was of course what kind of shelf do I need to build and will it fit the sound system properly. Then I got the opportunity to review this one and I am in love with it, it is exactly what I want. Are there superior sounding systems out there, sure, for the price point and that fit the need that I want, and unless you are an audiophile, you will not be disappointed, and even if you are, you might still be impressed playing around with the different settings. My dad loves sound systems, but he is also hard of hearing. The pro voice mode made him a believer in the system instantly. It brought the announcer’s voices in the game out perfectly and allowed them to cut though the noise in our own room just from lots of people. He could hear the voices perfectly which was game changing for him. I could as well and I loved it, but I’m not quite as hard of hearing as him. Overall, I think the sound is awesome, I increased the base to almost full just because feel like the base gives a depth to sound that a sound bar without one can’t hope to replicate. Speaking of the base, it is wireless and can be placed in a convenient location (potentially hid away) which I have learned to appreciate. The sounds comes right at you and just sounds fantastic to me. Mounting it was decently simple, the screws and anchors that come with it can work, but personally I have my own anchor kit that I trust more, so those were set aside for higher quality stuff. The mounts themselves are genius, they lock the sound bar in nicely, but it is simple to take off if I ever want to switch the type of input. The box included a paper that you tape to the wall to show exactly where to screw the mounts, so mounting was straight forward and easy. Overall, I am happy with every aspect of this speaker system. It looks great, sounds great, it’s easy to install, and has multiple wireless connection options so I can pair my phone to it as well.

We enjoy watching movies at our home on nights and weekends. We have three TVs all of which are different brands. We experimented using The SG10TY LG Soundbar for TV with Dolby Atmos® 3.1 channel on all three TVS. It worked perfectly on the LG OLED TV but did not meet expectations on the other two TVs. That is why I rated it 4 star. When it came to using it on the LG it is a 5 star product. It took the movie to a higher level. On the LG tv It seemed to know what we were using the TV for. It added depth and all around sound just like we were in the movie itself. When I listened to music it was like I was at a concert. The sound was so vivid. I did not use it for gaming so I have no idea how that worked. Set up was so easy. It came packaged with everything I needed to attach the Soundbar on the wall. The soundbar was thin and very attractive. It looks fancy on the wall. It is wireless Bluetooth and that is a plus. I wish all my other items were wireless. The subwoofer was larger than my previous one. That was a bit of an inconvenience but i made it work. It was so easy to pair it with the soundbar. The back has a light that blinks red when it is not connected. The remote control is just an average control. Nothing fancy. I do love the SG10TY LG Soundbar for TV with Dolby Atmos® 3.1 channel but it is best with the LG Oled TVs.

Alright, let me start by saying this thing is deceptively sm'arge. That's not a typo. I said "Sm'arge". This showed up at my office on a pallet. So, if you're p;anning ordering this one, be ready to reciieve a pallet, as well. Now, as you can see from the photos, there is everything you'll need(minus the leveler) to mount this super thin, asuper powerhouse of a speaker, right to your favorite wall. Inside the box, you get hanging diagram , screws, & sheetrock locks, remote, batteries, HDMI cable, 2 power cords. 1 for each speaker, and, of course, the LG soundbar & LG subwoofer. It was really easy to mount and set up. Cable management is seemless for the 3 cords that I'm using. I use an Android phone, so I used the Adroid QR code to set up my Wifi connection so I can listen to music from my phone. The sound is great. Watching movies sound so satifying with the sub kicking in that emotion throughout my room. Gaming feels so emersive while the Doldy sound keeps me on my toes. Along with the soundbar app, the LG ThinQ app works with it as well, so i can control the speaker with my phone when the remote is absent. I'm really happy with this speaker. LG really is making Life Good with this stuff.

I had high hopes for this soundbar, and I am happy to report that for the most part I am very satisfied with it. The first impression right out of the huge box is that it is much larger than I expected, at nearly the exact same width as my 65” LG OLED TV, and about 7 inches tall. It is super thin however, just over an inch thick. Those proportions mean that it would look weird if your TV is smaller than 65”, as it is clearly designed to be paired with larger screens. The intent for this soundbar is that it be used with an LG OLED TV, and it advertises being a precise match to the G series OLED, but my B2 looks great with it. An LG TV will also be able to utilize the interconnectivity between them, such as WOW Orchestra and AI Sound Pro. Both of those features make a difference in sound quality to my ears, and the soundbar and TV work seamlessly for volume and settings controls as well. It is required to wall mount this bar; it cannot sit on an entertainment center. The mounting brackets which are included in the box are small and must be installed precisely or the bar will not sit on them correctly. Thankfully, it includes a template to use for getting the brackets placed properly and level and square with the TV. I took a slightly different approach for mounting it since my TV is on a full motion mount, by using a soundbar bracket to attach the included wall mount brackets to and then attach the bar to that combo. It worked perfectly, making it so it floats a couple of inches below my TV and is always lined up with wherever my TV is pointed. Unfortunately, for some reason the power supply is external which makes the mounted only soundbar more difficult to install cleanly. I would have preferred it to be a tiny bit thicker to internalize the power supply. The subwoofer is wireless and can be placed anywhere in the room as long as it is plugged into AC power. The bar itself has an HDMI passthrough, and an optical input and E-ARC HDMI port for connecting to your TV. It does not include rear speakers, and as I write this, they are completely unavailable, which is very disappointing. Thankfully, it still sounds great even without the rear channels, but I do wish I could find some and add them in for a fuller experience. It is easy to control and see what’s going on with the small LED display in the center of the speaker grille, and physical controls on the right side. The remote is very familiar looking, like a smaller simplified version of the Magic Remote for the TV itself. It supports Apple Airplay and has Wi-Fi for a direct music streaming service connection for something like Spotify. The biggest downsides for it are that it is intended for a specific use case, namely you have an LG OLED TV and it is wall mounted. Then, if you want rear speakers they are extremely difficult to get, and the power brick gets in the way of a clean look. It’s not perfect, but it works great for me and I am happy with how it looks and sounds.

Unboxing - Great packing job by the manufacturer ! A single box contains the sound bar, the subwoofer and accessory box. The Accessories include mounting brackets, screws, remote, cables, manuals and a wall template to mount the brackets in alignment with the television. The sound bar is about 1.3" thick and projects forward rather than using reflection. This does not mount flush to the wall but the standout is almost unnoticeable. Sound Projection - The forward firing design of this sound bar does a good job of projecting forward without being impacted heavily by echo and reflection in a large room. This is a problem solved for me in it's final installation as our current TV and sound bar combo does not work well in a large living room with a high vaulted ceiling and hardwood floor. While my final install is pending in that location, I tested it in a much smaller carpeted den - it works equally well there and provides good stereo coverage with a reasonable throw distance. Sound Quality - Clear voice, clear mids an highs, clean punchy Bass from the subwoofer. It's infinitely better than than using the audio built into any TV or smart monitor I own. In DTS or Stereo mode vocals and speech are very clear. The "standard" mode seems to work best for a somewhat even profile across music and movies. Sound Volume - Performs well through a mid-high volume range. In a large room with company over, everyone will be able to hear announcers and the background noise watching a game. This is good to fill a room with sound - The subwoofer enhances that but it's not going to rattle your dishes across the house. Compatibility - I'm currently pending a wiring and mount install for new G Series TV so I tested this with our current 80" Non-LG TV and with an LG C2 Display we use for gaming - Notably the control integration does not work on a C2. This was as expected as I do not see it in the compatibility list. Control is possible with remote and app only. Inputs included a Gaming PC, a standard digital Cable Box and a Bluetooth connection from multiple iPhones. We do also stream content on all monitors and TV's as they are all "smart". Remote Use / Manual - Can be found quickly online ! All sound bar functions can be controlled via the remote, It will announce the setting you are changing if you are not using a supported tv model. I would recommend using the app instead as it's simpler. What I love about it - It's THIN and will look great with a C4 TV flush mounted above it. Audio quality is great ! Room for improvement - A quick guide for remote use included in the box would have been nice.

This arrived well boxed. It is a bit long and awkward to handle – get help bringing in if there are a number of steps involved... Unboxing was easy, and soon had all components out and ready to go. The soundbar and woofer have a premium look. Although designed to fit with a 65” tv, it would be a nice compliment to any tv. Be advised - this seems to be intended for flush mount to a wall – there are even drywall anchors included. However, my 75” LG tv is on a fully articulating mount, and the bottom edge is away from the wall about 5 inches. I did fabricate a simple mount that brought the soundbar out in line with the tv, and it looks great. Once the mounting was done, hook up is simple and straight forward. This has multiple options for hook-up / input: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, optical / hdmi ARC,HDMI, and USB. I used the HDMI ARC from tv to the sound bar input. The only other thing to do is to plug in the 2 units – the woofer first, then the sound bar. The soundbar will wirelessly connect to the woofer automatically. When up and running, the soundbar has a display that lights up in the center of the bar. With the remote, there are quite a few adjustments - such as type of sound presets – sports, cinema, clear voice pro, music, standard, etc. And, there are also separate bass / mid/ treble levels, and woofer, center, rear levels. There are numerous other settings that are accessed from the remote. Night time – for limiting dynamic range; auto power, surround, display, etc. There are control buttons on the side of the sound bar for the various things such as power, wi-fi, bluetooth, volume, etc. As far as the sound, I found it to be quite awesome – especially from such a compact size. The bass effects hit with power, the vocals are clear, and the separation quite apparent. This makes watching a movie on your tv a real theater experience. There are also wireless rear speakers that can be added for a complete surround system. I really like the elegant looks of the soundbar / woofer, and overall, this unit quite surprised me with the sound output. I am impressed, and would advise anyone wanting to create a “theater atmosphere” in their listening area, to seriously consider this soundbar / woofer.

LG is a highly respected manufacturer of OLED televisions known for ultra wide viewing angles & extraordinary contrast, when compared with conventional LED televisions. The premium LG OLED Television is the G4 Class. This LG soundbar that I am reviewing is model SG10TY. It is built specifically to complement the 65" LG G4 TV. The SG10TY is ultra-slim, measuring 56.9" W X 5.9"H X 1.3"D. It is designed to bolt directly to the wall below the G4 TV. This provides a unified look; the soundbar appears to become one with the beautiful LG OLED eco G4 series TV. The sound from this Soundbar is stunning! Featuring Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technology with 200 Watts of power at the soundbar, you hear the most delicate sounds across the room & you feel the power of the 220 Watt powered subwoofer. Total power of this system is 420 Watts! WOW Orchestra, WOW Interface & WOWCAST If you match this subwoofer to the G4 Class OLED TV, you can combine the built-in speakers from the TV with the soundbar to produce what LG calls "WOW Orchestra". It is unlike any sound I have ever heard in a soundbar! WOW Interface lets you control the LG TV & soundbar using only one remote. WOWCAST combines the LG TV & Soundbar audio with Dolby Atmos & DTS: X. CONCLUSION: This is by far my favorite soundbar that I have ever tested, not only for stellar sound quality, but also LG's innovation & the beautiful appearance with the Top Tier LG OLED TV. This soundbar easily earns my highest recommendation!

The LG 3.1 Channel SG10TY Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer, Dolby Atmos and WOW Orchestra is a stylish looking soundbar system that comes with everything you need to improve your TV sound experience. The soundbar is very slim, designed to be wall-mounted flush with the wall and goes especially well with the LG Gallery series OLED TVs. The system also includes a good size powered subwoofer but no surround/height speakers but it still supports Dolby ATMOS, though it’s more of a simulated effect generated by the front channels. The sub connects wirelessly, all it needs is power, so that makes its placement very easy. The packaging is bigger than it probably needs to be. It was delivered on a long 6ft pallet which was pretty intimidating, but once you take the box off the pallet, it only weighs about 30lbs including the generous packing material. The initial setup is very easy, intuitive, comes with all the instructions and wall-mount brackets. Just plug-in subwoofer first, then the soundbar itself. Once you turn on the soundbar, it will automatically pair with the subwoofer. There is 1 HDMI input, one HDMI e/ARC output, as well as optical-in and a USB in port. The soundbar has a small information display in the middle that lights up when you are using your remote to change many of the settings available, such as connection type, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, sound mode, etc. The LG soundbar app does provide you with additional information like sound decoder, volume level, equalizer and other configuration settings. The remote control looks similar to LG TV remotes but much more basic but you don’t really need to use it, especially if you’re connecting to an LG TV that’s fully integrated, or you can also use the LG soundbar app or LG ThinkQ app to control it. You have to use the App to complete the setup, such as connecting to WiFi network, upgrading the firmware, running the AI room calibration and picking from several sound modes as well as a 3-band equalizer. The Advanced Room Calibration feature seems pretty basic, it uses your smartphone microphone to determine your seating position and speaker volumes. It only took less than a minute to complete and I couldn’t really tell the difference before and after. The subwoofer provides plenty of kick and boom to satisfy most gamers or movie buffs. I was quite pleased with the 3D-spatial sound field that was much more enveloping than the TV speakers but it kind of blended everything together - not enough separation between the channels since they’re all built-in to the thin soundbar. I paired this with an LG G2 OLED TV and it seamlessly integrated with the WOW Orchestra feature where the built-in TV speakers are paired together with the soundbar. I’m on the fence about this feature at least for movie watching. It further blended the channels and it kind of toned down the volume of the soundbar overall. Dialogue seemed a bit more positional coming out of the screen though, so that could be a plus. All in all this is a stylish soundbar system, high-end looking but low to mid-range sounding which will make a great addition to any medium size room or bedroom.

The rabbit hole of selecting a soundbar only gets deeper over time. This is my fifth soundbar in the last 6 years- not because I have discarded the others (ok, one was gladly given away) but instead because I get more obsessive with sound performance AND ease of use. The LG SG10TY soundbar is a lovely looking piece of equipment. At nearly 57" long, you really need to pair it with a 65" (diagonal, of course) TV. One thing I didn't realize, but wasn't a problem for me, was this is meant to be installed on the wall, not on a table (though I was able to make that work for quick testing purposes). All the parts and templates, and very good instructions, are provided for placement and mounting. The subwoofer is compact, relative to the soundbar. Measuring in at 11.4" x 7.1" wide x 15.5" high, it's smaller than ever sub I've had previously. That said, it performed well. The aesthetic seems to acknowledge it will be hidden. Not ugly, just not as "simply elegant" as the soundbar. It has a power cord but connects wirelessly to the soundbar. Setup is via the app. Note that the prescribed app is actually being sunsetted and you will be directed to the LG ThinQ app. Not a big deal. Both are free and the ThinQ app is pretty straightforward and consolidates control with other LG devices you might have. Via the app you can control volume, sound modes, bass and treble levels, and more. All the tech you should expect is built-in. Dolby Atmos, Dolby Surround, DTS:X, Bluetooth, WiFi, Optical and HDMI eARC connections. It's compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, Airplay2 and Chromecast. I didn't dabble with WiFi streaming from Spotify, TIDAL and Chromecast, but those are also features. Plus, you can insert a USB drive and play MP3 files. Sound modes for: TV, Cinema, Game, Sports, Music let you fine tune performance. I found these were noticeable and pleasing. LG's proprietary WOW Orchestra technology is pretty cool. It uses the speakers on compatible LG soundbars and TVs to "create an epanded soundstage...with a new level of depth and power" I liked it for concert videos most of all. I binge on YouTube trail-running documentaries and concerts, the occasional cooking show and highly recommended thriller films. I tried the soundbar with all of these and Bluetooth music from my phone and was very impressed. Great soundstage including breadth and depth. Voices were clear, instruments were accurate and sounds of nature were realistic. All the things you desire in home theater.

This LG SG10TY goes glove and hand with my LG G3 77 tv and i cannot think of any other soundbar to complete this amazing tv the way this speaker does it. One wall design makes this sound bar on par with any LG Gallery tv and i would recommend at least a 65" display since this sound bar measures somewhere at 56"w x 5.9" tall and and incredible 1.3" thickness. My 77" G3 has great internal speakers but i use to play content over to my receiver for better experience and was hard to deal with all the speaker wires. Now with the addition of the SG10TY i am so content that by comparison i can tell you it's no difference (music or movies) but even better since the speaker gets it's power from right behind the tv (where i strongly recommend to install an in wall box for the power management and hdmi cables) and the rest it happens wireless and thru a great sound codec of sound dispersion thru the room. The subwoofer connects wirelessly by keeping the sync button pressed for few seconds and boy oh boy for how sleek it is that thing puts out some nice smooth bass! Now the nice deal is that i can use the soundbar speaker system simultaneously with the TV internal speakers and makes it so much better i have 10ft ceiling and open space living room that gets into a 25ft ceiling and the sound it's more then enough to fill all that space. I am definitely looking to purchase the rear speakers for the system for a maximum experience!

I recently upgraded my home audio setup with the LG 3.1 Channel SG10TY Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer, and I couldn't be happier with the results. This soundbar truly delivers an excellent audio experience that has transformed my movie nights and music listening. From the moment I set it up, the sound quality was immediately noticeable. The Dolby Atmos support creates an incredibly immersive soundstage, making it feel like sound is coming from all around you. Whether it's the subtle rustle of leaves in a nature documentary or the explosive action of a blockbuster, every sound is rendered with stunning clarity and depth. The wireless subwoofer adds a powerful, rumbling bass that you can truly feel, without any of the clutter of wires. What really sets this soundbar apart is the WOW Orchestra feature. When paired with a compatible LG TV, it integrates the TV's speakers with the soundbar, creating an even broader and richer soundscape. I purchased this soundbar provide better sound than my G3 OLED TV could but I also wanted something that would match the superior aesthetics of that TV. From an engineering standpoint, that thin profile is never going to enable the same sound quality as a larger soundbar designed for top notch sound so I was just looking for good sound, not great. I give it 4 stars for sound which is what I expected. Where the soundbar falls down is the unexpected need for a separate power supply similar to a laptop power brick. In many installations (including mine) there is no place to hide this power brick particularly since the TV and soundbar are designed to lie flat against the wall. LG shows many pretty pictures of the installation looking clean against a wall but what they don't show you is that the room on the other side of the wall must have wires sticking out of the wall along with a power brick. None of the pictures of this system show the power brick. The power brick is an unpleasant surprise. Since the whole purpose of this soundbar is to be aesthetically pleasing (Other LG soundbars can do everything this unit does and more), requiring a separate ugly power brick is a foul ball. in Summary: Sound is decent and much better than the TV alone but not audiophile quality. Installation is easy but use the template as the wall mount locations are horizontally offset from where you would intuitively expect them to go. Setup is simple. Aesthetics: Unless you have a place to hide the power brick, You will not end up with a clean attractive install. If you can hide the power brick, the bar its self perfectly matches a 65" G series.

Sound, modern design, and light weight is fantastic.

Nice sound bar and it works great with LG TV. It works for movies and music. The TV can sync the power status. Only thing to mention is that it do not have 3.5mm or RCA- not for turntables unless use bluetooth.

I've always been a little skeptical of smaller speakers producing truly great sound. HOWEVER!!! This system made a believer out of me. Watching a large format movie with this sound bar system was a truly enjoyable and satisfying experience. I would recommed this to anyone who appreciated the true theater experience at home.
