The 1st LG refrigerator lasted 13 months. The tech came out twice to fix it and said you'll need to replace it. Glad we had a extended warranty, but it still didn't cover the current model replacement, taxes and another extended warranty. 2nd refrigerator is up and running, hopefully I won't be posting an update anytime soon.

The first few months of having this gorgeous fridge, I was absolutely in LOVE! It was perfect for my family of 5 and having the door-in-door came a lot handier than I ever imagined. I loved the spaciousness, the bright lighting and how easy it was to stay organized and find everything very quickly. HOWEVER, after not even a year of use, I started noticing that my customized settings would all of a sudden change to the factory settings, but was unsure what was causing it. One day as I was opening the fridge, I noticed the power go out for a fraction of a second and happened to look just in time to see the settings go from custom to factory settings as the power flickered off and on again. Voila - found the issue! After three separate visits by Geek Squad techs (and three part changes later!), the tech admitted that there was a known design flaw with the power supply and that even if I kept replacing it, it was very likely it would fail again for good and I would likely lose hundreds in groceries. I was so disappointed to have to return it, but alwas, it was the best solution. I upgraded to the Samsung Chef's collection, RF34H9960S4, which is very similar in layout, yet a lot pricier and prettier. And so far, so good! I am keeping my fingers crossed because I just don't have the time nor energy to deal with more fridge drama.

Very Happy with the frig. I didn't think I'd use the Door-in-Door feature as much as we actually do! It's incredibly convenient. Wish the cold water was colder but that's truly ok as the ice maker works terrific. Freezer: I've enjoyed the different drawers and find myself utilizing each differently. So thankful for all 3 drawers. Also the meat setting on the large frig-width 'deli' draw is a love of mine. So thankful for this feature!

very roomy. The inner plastic door tends to pop open - I don't know if I am hitting it by accident or the latch just isn't perfect. Right hand side door inner shelves are a slightly awkward size - I was hoping to keep four soda size cans on the door, but it only hold three. I finally have a place for everything. I would recommend.

It's good.with this double door is realy cool feature. There's another model that doesn't has it but has a phone connection features but doesn't has double door. So I still don't know if it was a good choice. Because price tag is hi and its beautiful but I don't feel like it was worth money I paid.if it had those phone conection I would like it more.

Delivery was timely; however, the refrigerator was delivered with scratches on all three doors. This was noted in the delivery ticket; however, no one from Best Buy contacted me to let me know how they planned to address the situation. Very disappointed.

Delivery was smooth and fast. I was a little worried about having my wife accept the deliver but it was smooth. We love the fridge it's huge. We have to make sure to push the door closed but maybe it just needs adjusted? Overall it it great

This LG was a warranty replacement of another different model LG that had a defective ice maker that could not be repaired. The old refrigerators ice maker would stack ice up and block the sensor so it would not make any more ice. This models redesigned ice maker works perfect. I recommend the Best Buy extended warranty with the purchase of any refrigerator. Also, there was an initial problem with the right door not closing properly. This was resolved by LG making the back of the refrigerator 1/4" lower than the front and applying a thin layer of silicon grease on the gasket on the hinge side of the door.

It was delivered on a Saturday and by Sunday afternoon all of my frozen food had unthawed and the refrigerator part was room temperature. Went to BestBuy and got a spoiled claim form and told them I wanted to exchange the refrigerator for one that worked. They picked up the refrigerator on Tuesday and brought my new Samsung (which I am happy with) But 10 days later I am still waiting to be reimbursed for my food.

We are a couple, the sealed in door ice maker does keep the ice tasting fresh, but the icemaker cant keep up with our ice usage. We only eat supper at home and have a soft drink or two after supper. We purchased the largest unit available, I cant imagine that the ice needs of a lager family would be met. The shelves seem like they had a lot of room but I had to take out one top shelf to allow 2 liter bottles and pitchers stand up, again I cant imagine food for a larger family would have enough room either. Both doors have to open to access the large drawer across the bottom of refrigerator. The settings on the outside reset at will. I checked with manufacturer and was told this is normal. I put this review on the LG review page and received an email that told me my review was not appropriate for their website. I guess they just want to hear the good points and are afraid of a honest review.
The motherboard that controls every function of this fridge went out within six months. Took two tech visits to show up with the correct part so more of a hassle scheduling two tech visits even though the cost was still covered by warranty. Then after the warranty expired the ice maker gave out. It is an overly complicated design that has a lot of moving parts just waiting to break. When they do break its $135 just for a tech to come diagnose the problem, then order parts they should have on hand, then come back for another service appoinment fee. This is a revenue scam to make more money down the road after they unload their junk product on you. I bought what I thought was a higher end unit, expecting better performance and reliability. The reviews at the time were very high, I suspect those were generated by paid good news reviewers not actual owners. Stay away from junk LG refrigerators!

We have purchased two LG fridges and both of them broke within a year and a half. The first time, our firstborn was still breastfeeding and wife was working full time and trying to bring cooked meals to work and it took about two weeks to find out that the third party technician had deemed it unrepairable because the part couldn't be replaced. We had to purchase a mini fridge and live out of it and couldn't return it because it took so long. This time, my wife is pregnant and we have a one-year-old and three-year-old and it broke a week to a week and a half before Hurricane Irma came through Jacksonville, FL. We are still going through processes to make it either work or get replaced. We have been living out of the same min fridge for about two weeks. Moral of the story, get thirteen mini fridges that aren't LG and save the money from purchasing a $3,200 fridge. The fridge was $3,200 and it broke twice within a year to a year and a half. We also had to purchase to protection plans (~$500/each). We spent $1,000 on protection plans because the $3,200 fridges broke and got deemed unrepairable. We are going to have to get another fridge and protection plan. .... We will not be going with LG when we pick out our next fridge.

So this was my second LG refrigerator. The first one had issues with the fan freezing up, tripping an error code shutting down the fridge. I should have learned... I bought this 31 cubic ft fridge thinking it was newer and I won't have any problems.... well this one just stopped working too. Only this time no error codes. It just blows hot air in the fridge and freezer.... spoke to a repairman and he assumed it would be the compressor as he gets a ton of calls for that.... quoted me a $1000 to fix. He came out to look at it and it actually wasnt the compressor at all. It was clogged lines and to fix it will be $1800. He said don't even bother fixing it as all the LG fridges are Iasting around 5 to 6 years. STAY AWAY! my grandmother bought this same fridge after she saw mine and she has had a ton of issues too.

We bought this refrigerator in 2012. We had an issue fairly quickly with the ice maker. LG said it would take three weeks to get out here to fix it; unacceptable - but NO OTHER OPTION bc no one else will touch it. We called three repairmen, all of whom said, "garbage". Can't replace the parts and can't get someone who will service it unless you want to wait three weeks for LG people. Now the refrig. has stopped working completely. You might say it's seven years old, that's long enough, but I say its a $3,500 refrigerator and it should be lasting 20 years. Even 12; or 10. It is ridiculous. I don't mind repairing things, but I DO mind when the obstacles are so great to getting it repaired. The ice maker has NEVER worked well, which we just put up with. The piece that you push to get water on the front of the fridge broke off; we just put up with it and jammed a pencil in the hole to get water. The fridge leaks; we put up with it. But now the upper part doesn't cool. A repair guy recommended thawing everything as pipe flap was probably frozen. Did that. Still no cooling. I can't BELIEVE we spent this money on this fridge.

On our second warranty repair. Now no one will come and fix it. Ongoing for a month with no fridge in the house. Customer service is extremely slow and lazy. Never, ever again. They should be replacing this unit but every time I call they say they will get back to me in 3-5 business days. Best Buy should sever ties with this HORRIBLE company.
