A: You could do that, but not unless you put a stop of some kind in front of it to keep the bottom from slipping forward (unit falls on its back). However, this won't be very practical because the power and mode button on most of the LG widescreens is located in the middle, *underneath* the bottom edge - so won't be able to turn it on/off or adjust its settings. (Which is probably why the LG person said 'no' to your question.) I suppose you could set it up first, then turn it on/off another way, or just let it go into sleep mode. This are excellent monitors - I have almost a dozen of them 8-|

Noticeable wobble due to lack of support. Be prepa
Wonderful colors! Excellent performance from a monitor standpoint. I bought two at the same time and my wife absolutely loves hers. I couldn't stand a few things so I had to return mine... So this is review is for my experiences only. First and foremost, I guess this applies to all ultra wide monitors, but I was unprepared for just how "squat" The resultant display is for productivity minded tasks such as word documents, excel spreadsheets, etc... So I guess I should have just gone and used one in the store before I jumped into buying one. However, there are a couple of notable deal breakers for me on this particular model as well, the support structure underneath the ultra wide monitor is way too flimsy for such a large panel. So any resultant budge on your keyboard or your desk means that the entire panel is going to wobble uncontrollably for a couple of seconds. So I'd only recommend this monitor if you are using a very, very sturdy desk underneath it. My wife types very daintily so it's not an issue for her. Lastly, most of the computers and tablets that I've plugged in to this monitor have been able to run the full display without any issue... But I did notice that the fan on most laptops run a lot more continuously due to the increased horsepower utilized for the graphics. This is not the same experience I have had with other dual monitor setups before so I don't know what the difference is, but there is something unique about this ultra wide display that requires more cooling from the internal fan. Long-term, I don't know how I feel about that for laptops running hot. I guarantee this is not a problem with most desktops though.

Very good picture quality
I use this mainly for work and a little console gaming. Good picture quality, text looks crisp. Very little ghosting as this is a IPS panel. No speakers but thats ok for me. Picture by picture is super handy. Works with simultaneous connection of my xbox series s and work macbook. For 300 buck, this is a great value.
