UltraHeat 5.0kW Dual Element
With 5,000 watts of power, our UltraHeat dual element is powerful enough to rapidly boil water and flexible enough to turn down to a true simmer. Plus, with two elements in one, you can easily adapt the size of the element to accommodate your different-sized cookware.
Bridge Element
Conveniently expand your cooking area by combining the two left elements into one continuous cooking zone, allowing you to evenly heat longer pans, griddles, and oblong cookware.
Cooking Element LED Bar
Each cooking element features a red LED bar that displays its current power level—allowing you to quickly and easily monitor the cooktop.
Automatic Cookware Detection
Using sensors beneath the surface, activated cooking elements only operate when compatible cookware of the appropriate size is detected within the cooking zone. If cookware is not added, or is removed from an active element, the element will deactivate after one minute.
Cookware Compatibility Indicator
How well your cookware heats on an induction element depends on several factors, such as the cookware's size, material, and shape of its base. Answered by LG Digital Customer CareIf cookware is not centered on the surface of the cooking elements on the LG 36” Smart Induction Cooktop with UltraHeat™ 5.0kW Element, Model # CBIH3617BE, and your pan does not meet the minimum size required for the cooking element used, the sensors located below the ceramic cooktop surface will not detect the cookware or pan and will not heat. You must use cookware with a bottom surface diameter of 5 13/16" (147 mm) or greater. For the Flexible Cooking Zone, the minimum cookware size is 4 3/4" x 10 5/8" (120 mm x 270 mm). The Center area is a Dual Cooking Zone which activates single or dual elements depending on pot/pan size. If the cooktop detects cookware that is less than 9” in diameter, only the inner ring (single element) will activate. If it detects cookware larger than 9” in diameter, it will activate both the inner and outer rings (dual element). To quickly boil a very large quantity of water, set the center element to Boost, use a pot that is at least 9" in diameter so that the center element is activated, and turn off all other elements...^Ivan.
