A: Sorry, I have not found any front load that does not need to leave the door open to prevent the smell. I think if you used every day you might not need to, but if you use the way most do and run weekly loads, you need to vent the drum since the units are built to seal well and not leak during operation. The same may apply to the soap and softener drawer as well. The units are sealed well enough that any moisture has no why to evaporate.

A: Hi Polly, this model washer is Thin Q compatible. By connecting to the app via Wi-Fi, you're able to use the smart diagnosis feature to easily access the current state of your product and help you troubleshoot your issue when the appliance malfunctions. ^Chris
Q: Does this washer have speedwash? if yes how long is the cycle.
A: Yes and the time varies depending on how dirty the clothes are. The fastest cycle is 15 minutes, the slowest for dirtier clothes, 25 minutes. You set it. Note that the default heat setting for speedwash is hot. You'd need to enter warm or cold if you don't want hot.
A: The unit does come with a drain line, the length was already cited by LG answers, but it does not come with new water lines, that is either an add on charge if you buy them from Best Buy as part of your purchase, or you can buy most any length from local hardware sources. My local stores had 3', 6' and 10' lengths. You should replace your lines regardless of the condition of your old ones, it is just a good safety measure. In addition, if the 60" drain is not enough, many hardware stores sell universal drain lines that should also work with this device.

Good washing machine.
Bought this together with the stackable dryer. Assembly was a little cumbersome due to space limitations, definitely need two adults to do safely. Washer had a mild factory smell that disappeared after first few washes. Cleans well despite using hard water. Is reasonably quiet and although we got the most basic model currently offered, it has all the options we need. Large size allows to wash bed covers, comforters, blankets etc easily, however also means that one can’t really do small loads of “fancy” items (wool or other delicate fabrics). One thing that gets a little annoying- when using it with the stacked dryer, the stacking hardware impedes the ability of the detergent tray to pull out smoothly - must use force to pull the tray out (could potentially shorten lifespan). Overall we’re happy with the washing machine. Hopefully will last a while.

Perfect washer for any home
I recently purchased the LG 5.0 Cu. Ft. 6Motion, and I’m thoroughly impressed. This washer is a game-changer. The 5.0 cu. ft. capacity is perfect for handling large loads, saving me time and energy.
