A: Hi, the interface that is being used is the included Audio Optical out cable as well as an HDMI input cable/out sold separately. Once connected, you can configure the audio source on the tv by going to the audio settings on the TV menu options. I have a 2017 LG smart TV and it picked it up just fine. I'm sure new iterations of LG TVs would do it automatically. Again, the cable is included in the box to connect the sound bar to the TV.
