A: Clean the stove top before using it the first time. That's what the instructions say. I think folks are missing that and the protective coating is scratching or something. I haven't had any issues. Scrape it clean with the scraper, and it stays clean. I use all types of pots and pans on mine, no issue with scratching. Smooth bottom skillets and pans are best. Steel is betterthan copper. I use my cast iron, carefully because it's a glass stove top. I'm careful, but I slide aluminum and steel skillets from one burner to another, no scratches at all. I was worried by the reviews, thought I'd made a mistake buying it, So many talked about scratches and hard to clean, but that hasn't been my experience at all. I use CeramaBryte cleaner kit, came with a scraper for tough stains, but once it was clean, it stays clean. Wipe spills up while the stove is hot makes it easier, wear an oven mitt or a dish towel cause it's hot. No regrets. It was tricky at first coming from a old plain Whirlpool electric coil range, but it's a pleasure to use and makes it easier because it heats up quick and hot. Really makes a difference. Air fryer doesnt use oil, it uses air. Dark, low sided cookie sheet does chicken nuggets frozen fries, that stuff, no problem. Spray some cooking oil to crisp stuff up, but there's no runoff. I cook bacon in the oven, use convection settong, drain the grease halfway through, same as any oven, but the convection gets hotter and cooks more evenly. Cooking, in general, goes faster because it's hotter quicker and more controlled.
Q: Is the Stainless Steal Print the no finger prints or not?
A: I have found that the stainless steel does leave some minor finger prints. Also be mindful that the top surface scratches very easily so choose wisely which pans and cookware you use. I have more surface scratches from just placing the pan on the stove then actually scratching it myself. :-(
Q: How good is the rubber trim around the stovetop. Is there any special care needed
A: THIS RUBBER FRAME IS NO GOOD WHATSOEVER ..I JUST GOT THE STOVE ..AND EVERY TIME I USE ONE OF THE BURNERS THIS GOOD FOR NOTHING RUBBER EITHER IT MELT OR IT GET DAMAGED FROM THE HEAT RADIATION CAUSING A LOUSY SMELL ..IT IS NOT EVEN MENTIONED IN ANY SPECICICATION ..MUST RETURN THIS STOVE
Q: Does this electric range require a 4 prong plug?.
A: Hi Patw. The power cord for the range oven is not supplied with the range oven and has to be purchased separately. Like all other Electrical Range Ovens, you can use either a 3-conductor or a 4-conductor power supply cord with the LG 6.3 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Single Electric Convection Range with Air Fry and WideView™ Window - PrintProof™ Black Stainless Steel, Model # LREL6323D. All the wiring for the range oven should conform to your local codes and to the latest edition of the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA No. 70. A 4-wire connection is required for all mobile and manufactured home installations, as well as all new construction after January 1, 1996. A 4-wire connection must be used where local codes do not permit grounding through the neutral wire.If you are not sure which one is allowed in your area, please contact your local building inspector or consult with a qualified electrician...^IFV
Q: Does this range bake on regular settings too, or just convection?
A: The Convection Bake and Convection Roast modes on the LG 6.3 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Single Electric Convection Range with Air Fry and WideView™ Window - PrintProof™ Stainless Steel, Model # LREL6323S are selectable modes. You can still use a regular bake cycle. The oven can be programmed to bake at any temperature from 170 °F (80 °C) to 550 °F (285 °C). The default temperature is 350 °F (175 °C)...^IFV
Q: Where do you purchase the air fry basket that would go with the oven since it does not come with it.
A: I bought mine on Amazon. They have a few different ones but they all work.
Q: How does the air fryer work?
A: Great
A: If you haven't switched to convectional mode, your oven should work as a conventional one. That should be the default setting. You should review manual as I have not yet used it to bake with convection settings.

Absolutely love my range. Waited 8 months to review because I wanted to be sure it was as good as I'd hoped. Super easy to maintain & clean if directions in owner's manual are followed. Oven cooks evenly & the larger area is amazing. So happy I chose this range!

We were asked to review this LG range. We've only had it 3 weeks and so far we like it. We were concerned about it fitting in our all white kitchen, but it looks beautiful. We've had no problem so far with the burners, oven, setting oven and timer are easy. It is a little time consuming setting oven and timer as there are no numbers on the touch pad and you have to push an arrow up or down to set each thing. This takes longer than touching a few numbers. One thing is the storage drawer is smaller than our old GE Profile and things in it get very hot. Our biggest problem so far was setting the clock. We checked the manual, online, tried everything but it wouldn't set and kept going back to the default time that was there when we got it. We called the number Best Buy gave us if we had problems. The man we talked to said we had to call the manufacturer! We tried some more then called Best Buy's Geek Squad. We got a few suggestions like turning off the power breaker. We did that several times with no luck. We called Geek Squad again and they said they would send the installer back. We were quite surprised when they turned up in the same type of huge semi-truck. The installer came in and tried and tried to set the clock. He looked at the manual, asked if we turned off the breaker, he fiddled with it further and finally got it set. I asked him how he did it and he tried to show me, but his English was not good and pointing at things gave me a vague idea how to do it. I couldn't explain it to anyone though. I hope we don't need help every time we have a power outage or every Fall and Spring we have to change the time. Other than this problem, so far I really like the range and am looking forward to using the convection oven and air fryer.
